They are human like everyone else so don't expect perfection. Some are simply "Sunday Christians" and don't really live the life (can you say "hypocrite?). Don't write every Christian off who doesn't live a perfect life.

This is a very difficult question, because some people say that they're Christians for image, or so people don’t try to witness to them. Others are Christians and believe that Christ is they’re savior but don’t like to use they’re time to worship God which pulls them away from the love of Christ. And then there are people who actually are like two different people; at home/church/other-Christian-friend they feel the need to behave the way they should, putting God first and doing what is right. And when they’re with non-Christian-friends/not worrying about what they’re acting like, they tend to act in a manner where they pretend God isn’t watching them, even though he is. For God will judge you when you die for how much good you have done, and for every second you are not doing what is right, less reward you will receive.

A little too general , but if you mean acts like there better or " holier than thou " or any other sin that's out there . It's because they are just that , sinners and need to ask forgiveness .
They are no better than non - Christians .
But I can see ( really see ) why a lot of Christians give real Christians a bad name . They're so filled with righteousness ( not the good kind ) that they can't see beyond their own faith and won't accept that what they're doing is hurting not helping . God said spread his word , not shove it down people's throat .
Does that clarify things ?

Great Question....But my friend there is no answer to why there is hate in peoples hearts reguardless of their religion. Often people fall short of being the person they believe is right. I guess in a way the hyporcracy of it all is we are all hypocritical and we are all just human. Some people just try harder than others to do the right thing regardless of religious affiliation. You will find good and bad people in every religion, and in those without religions.... It is just the way humans are built! We can believe one thing and fail to act on it... because it is very difficult often to do the right thing....Anyway, just my philosophical look at what might have been a rhetorical question.

Because its a religon founded on hypocrasy. Read the bible, I mean it, cover to cover. 100% of christians cherry pick what they feel is right and then claim it to be the word of god. Meanwhile ignoring all the blaring contridictions, and barbarism in both the old and new testement...
If you're in the US, its the most religous western country, and at the same time, the most religously ignorant. People throw the "God" word around here about the same as they use any other.

Perhaps they are liars, and not really Christians at all. Perhaps their agenda is to discredit Christianity. Perhaps they are new Christians and have not yet matured.
Here's the secret Jesus gave us for recognizing the followers of "THE WAY" (later called Christians at Antioch); "You will know them by there love."
Who are Christians supposed to love?
Love God with all your heart, soul, strength, and mind.
Love your neighbor as yourself.
Love one another as Jesus loves us.
So what is love? . . . It is not a mere emotion, but an action. Read the 13th chapter of 1st Corinthians.
So identifying Christians should be easy. Some have just not arrived.

Its a 'running to mommy' theory. You do something bad, you can go apologize and grovel for forgiveness and not feel bad about it. Well I don't know much about religion though so maybe I shouldn't comment... but that is what it seems like to me. You steal candy from a store, go to church and feel guilty. Then wake up the next day and start over again. Kind of like the movie Groundhog day!

According to the bible everybody that says "Lord, Lord will not enter the kingdom of heaven". Some people are still growing in Christ they are babes in Christ. It's a growth process some people it may take years and years. They are still living for the "flesh" the things of this world instead of surrendering completely to the Lord.

People are people and each person still has a different personality. Being a Christians doesn't mean that all Christians should become robots and act exactly the same. Each person still has their own opinions. Pops

I know that when I have done so, it is because I have not spent enough time on my knees praying. When I ask God to help me see who I am really am, it brings contentment and peace, thankfulness, and the ability to not think too highly of myself, but shows me how to treat others. I guess Christians are not perfect, they're just forgiven. Forgiveness comes after repentance, which we need to do often.
