If you would allow me, Mr.Chick speaks well on this subject. Christ said to do this in "remembrance" of me until I return." There isn't a biblical basis for transubstantiation.

I think that web page is an unfortunate Although common view of the Eucharist. If you truly want to understand The roman Catholic Sacraments [and I suspect you do not] then read the Book 'Catechism of the catholic church' in Companionship with the bible. Not some web page with an obvious ax to grind.

I'm sorry but I cannot take anything that Chick Publications says seriously.

If we were to believe all that Chick Publications claims then, among other things, we would believe the the Catholic Church:
+ Instigated the American Civil War
+ Assassinated Abraham Lincoln
+ Formed the Ku Klux Klan
+ Keeps every Christian's name in a computer in order to make persecution easier

With love in Christ.

*Is Catholic*

I think it deserves a Hail Mary so we can pray for Chick's soul and all those who he is leading astray....Please everyone join in...

Let's do it in the Latin too as it will drive the evil spirts away faster....

Ave Maria, gratia plena,
Dominus tecum,
benedicta tu in mulieribus,
et benedictus fructus ventris tui Iesus.
Sancta Maria mater Dei,
ora pro nobis peccatoribus, nunc, et in hora mortis nostrae.
Amen

Did you notice that while Jones uses the words "actual" and "literal", those words don't appear in the quotes? Why is he arguing against something the Church doesn't teach? Is it because his position is so weak he has to make stuff up?

I don't have to read the page. Anything with Chick's name on it is spiritual pornography, certain to move anyone who reads it farther away from truth and farther away from Christ. Mr. Chick has done more harm to Christians, particularly the uninformed fundamentalists who read this garbage, than Islam ever could.

And Christ didn't say do this "in remembrance" of Me. He said "do THIS in remembrance of Me", "THIS" obviously meaning "what I have just done". What He had just done was to take bread, break it and say to those gathered with Him, "Take and eat; THIS IS MY BODY"; and then the cup, saying "TAKE THIS AND DRINK IT ALL OF YOU, FOR THIS IS MY BLOOD". THAT is what Christ commanded us to do in remembrance of Him. His own Church has done so from the night He commanded it. Why don't you obey this direct command from the lips of God Himself?

Actually the original Aramaic says "unless you "gnaw" on the flesh of the son of man and drink his blood.......

If I give you a ham sandwich and tell you to eat it and then say do it in remembrance of me, it is still a ham sandwich.
