My dear, if you had been where I been and done the things I had done and if I even THOUGHT Jesus might let me take it back..., I would run screaming!!
Yes, I know, it is daily and hourly my choice, but my choice was made and i don't EVER want to take it back. Even one day with Jesus is better than all the days without Him. I read the Psalms or Proverbs out loud to myself when I get to worrying or am fearful. I KNOW God cannot lie and if He could He never has and isn't going to start with me.
I used to read my Promise Book, where verses were in subjects and it would help me early in my walk with Jesus.
O yea, we DO control this journey, if we don't trust Jesus. He only takes us as far as we will allow. I don't know how to NOT trust Jesus.., it ME I don't trust. I remember how my life was before I gave it to Him..., and I don't want to control it anymore. I sometimes have trouble following through with what I know is right.., but I always KNOW! Being human is the exact reason to let Jesus be the shepherd and you and I be the sheep.
What's to worry about? He is faithful!
I been there and I'm never going back!

It's called flesh, it's hard sometime to die to flesh. God never said it would be easy. But, he will always be there to pick you up. It's not a trust thing but and faith thing, you have to believe that God loves you so much that he will never leave or forsake you. Fear is from the devil. The devil doesn't want you to give your life over to God, so he will do what ever it take to make you run from God. If he can get to your mind he's won. Get in the word for we parish from lack of knowledge. And knowledge comes from the word of God. The way I maintain my faith, the word, my Church and the fact that I have had an relationship with my Lord Jesus Christ. He was with me though out my cancer ordeal and healed me of that cancer. He's an aw some God, just give him you and he'll do the rest. God Bless You.

Jesus gave you many clues about this. He knew that there would be temptation to doubt and distrust the Father with his plan for your life.
"Blessed (extremely HAPPY)... are those who hear the word of God and do it.” (Luke 11:28)
"I will show you what he is like who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice. He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete.” (Luke 6:47-49)
You will find that the more his word is in you, the less you waver... when you DO what he says.

The best thing to do when we feel discouraged and doubtful is to confess it to God. He is kind, patient and loving and will not scold us to honestly asking for His help. I love the fact that He has promised to finish what He has begun in us..so He will never give up on us even when we feel like we have let Him down..He is still there.

I don't. It is the unfortunate result of being human in a fallen world. I doubt, I worry, I try to do it myself. I fail. Then I give it over only to learn a leasson I've learned a million times over. And I'll do it again, and again, and again. It sucks.

If by god you mean the God of the bible, you continue to seek Him where he can be found. In His Word and in prayer. Having various feelings is normal. But our hearts and our minds need to learn to be committed to following Him.

It is a continual process of giving. I found that's the only way for me to do it - and I'm not capable of doing it 100%
Progress, not perfection.

That is your flesh that is rebelling , it has to be ignored. Just like when a person marries.. Some days they wish they never did, but they still continue on..
