I think I'm most like Martha because I "worry about a great many things", get too involved with tasks, but on the other hand enjoy serving others and love Jesus so much!

I have to ask this question...

I keep hearing how abortion kills babies. Which conjures up pictures of cute and cuddly babies that are slaughtered. I agree that abortion is murder. But have you considered when you are worrying about the cute and cuddly little baby, that this baby that is saved might grow up to be an adult.

Would you for a minute take into consideration what is happening in countries like Peru where there are children who are born into poverty and abortion is outlawed. Many of these cute and cuddly little children are not being adopted and end up on the streets. Are you sure that if we try to protect all of these babies that EVERY child will be adopted? The waiting lists may go on for one or two years, but after that, there will be a surplus of babies being born. Are you so sure that there will be more parents waiting to adopt that surplus.

Think this concept through of wanting abortion made illegal. I hate the idea of a terminated life, but quality of life matters!

I'd just like to apologize to everyone on here... for everyone on here.

I'm sorry if anyone ever called you an idiot for believing something -- it is your right to believe in whatever you wish to believe in, and it is your right to retain that belief. You shouldn't be pestered for believing in it, no matter what it is.

I'm sorry if someone has ever flooded your questions with answers that hurt your emotions. You were just looking for an answer, as we all are on this small little planet, and didn't deserve to be ridiculed or have an assumption made about you based on a question.

I'm sorry if you ever were told you didn't belong here... you belong wherever your heart tells you to go, and if it so happens to be here, answering and asking questions, then this is where you belong.

I'm sorry if my apology was too long, but most of all, I apologize if I have ever done any of these to any of you.

All I ask is to be forgiven.

If you choose not to, I'd like to know... why not?

If you fear God's wrath and that limits your choices........does that limit your free will. Christians will say, free will is the 'ability to choose' not the choice itself. If your 'ability to choose' is affected in any way, then you have lost your free will. Your ability to choose between right and left is hindered, because of the consequences of either right or left.

Christians, do you have free will when it is really controlled by FEAR?

Is there really "no compulsion in religion" in Islam? Muslims like to use the Quran 2:256 to justify the fact by quoting it as "Let there be no compulsion in religion".

But the full verse and the next verse is as follows,

"Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold, that never breaks. And Allah heareth and knoweth all things.

Allah is the Protector of those who have faith: from the depths of darkness He will lead them forth into light. Of those who reject faith the patrons are the evil ones: from light they will lead them forth into the depths of darkness. They will be companions of the fire, to dwell therein (For ever)."

Does the "no compulsion in religion" means what it means? If we reject islam we are "the evil ones"? and "will be companions of the fire, to dwell therein"?

This is absolutely amazing to me. I've seen so many stereotypes, but this tops it. Why do most of you think the Taliban set the rules for all of us? We HATE them. They are dangerous and enforce cruel culture, NOT Islam. Had they enforced Islam, they would not be burning schools and shooting teachers. Nowhere does it say that a woman may not be educated. The Quran does say in several places, as well as there being many hadiths about it, that a woman is obligated to the highest education possible. People think if a muslim woman went to college, she must have been in the West. Well, not always true. There are many college for women in the same feilds as men in the "islamic" countries. I've been to Pakistan, and I've seen one of the women's colleges myself. I have friends in Pakistan at the moment studying to become doctor's in the women's area of the hospital's. When I was in Pakistan, those treating my daughter were women, along with men. Why are most of you so brainwashed?

There are many other aspects that are involved in the family planning process, not just abortion. So, when the current administration vetoes bills that withhold ALL funding for family planning facilities, that doesn't seem very smart, does it?

I'm not Christian (or even particularly religious, for that matter) but have been studying various themes in the Bible. I see absolutely no support for the idea of Original Sin in the Old Testament, yet in the New Testament (Romans) *wham* there's Paul saying we're all sinners the instant Mom and Dad's DNA mix. I'm aware that other religions (Judaism, Islam) reject Original Sin.

I've asked a few Christian acquaitances about this, and they've said there'd be no need for Jesus if there wasn't Original Sin (I disagree with them, but what do I know). If you believe that all sin stems from that Original Sin, then I guess you'd have to accept Original Sin....but if you believe people would sin on their own accord anyway, then you'd still need Jesus to pick up the tab for your sins.

...So can you be Christian yet reject the concept of Original Sin?

You just have to be willing to open your eyes and see them. They are real, physical things, not theory. Are you that completely unwilling to learn that you deny concrete evidence? See the site below for just a fraction of the info available, if you only bother to look!

I mean after all it was something that was not God and he said to be sure to look at it or they would die. How about the Seraphim on the Ark of the Covenant? Idols or not? If not why not --- by the definitions here on idols these things should be idols.
