Any religion that requires me to believe that the Universe and the Earth was created in seven literal days is beneath consideration.
On an evolutionary scale, amoebae are relatively advanced creatures.
I have a suspicion that your question is not entirely genuine. Are you pulling our collective leg? Perish the thought!

because amoebas did not develop directly into zebras. At least that is what the evidence says. The evidence says that one celled organismes developed into multi-celled organisms. Not necessarily amoeba - zebra.
