Christianity doesn't believe in predestination yet.........................................................................................

Jesus told his disciples that 1 of them would betray him before they had done it.
Jesus told his disciple that he would deny being associated to him 3 times.

Before you say I'm a Muslim or something I'm not. I'm an ex Christian that became disillusioned by it all

I'm studying the book of Acts. One of the main themes seems to be how God guided the early Church.

Acts tries to establish a clear continuity between Judaism, Jesus, the Apostles, and the church. Is there still a continuity that goes from that church they established to today's Christian community? I know that Catholics believe the Catholic Church fulfills that role. How do Protestants view it?

Thanks

I keep getting thumbs down whenever I point out that we have control over our sexual actions. I am the only one who doesn't have sex with anyone and everyone who strikes my fancy?

Abraham had two sons, Ishmael and Isaac.

Both were blessed since God promised Abraham that his seed would be blessed (before the birth of any child) and God does not break his promises and no nation can be blessed without Gods’ command.

1-----After Abraham had lived ten years in the land of Canaan, Abram's wife Sarai took Hagar the Egyptian, her maid, and gave her to her husband Abram as HIS WIFE. -- GENESIS 16:3

2------So Hagar bore Abram a son; and Abram called the name of HIS SON, whom Hagar bore, ISHMAEL. - GENESIS 16:15

Islamic belief is that both sons would be blessed and blessings would come through the both of them unto the world. In Islam there is no superiority or inferiority issues when describing the blessed sons of Abraham.

Isaac is mentioned with great honor and love in the Quran. Great Prophets came from the lineage of Isaac and David and none brought such a complete code of life and a complete law like Moses.

Amongst the Israelites (Jews) the great Statesman and Law Giver was Moses.

From amongst the Ishmaelites (Muslims) the great Statesman and Law Giver was Mohammed.

Mohammed, just like Moses, was a Statesman ,Military commander, bringer of a detailed Law for religious, social, financial, political affairs and both had families.

Both Mohammed and Moses claimed to be NO MORE than a Prophet and Messenger of the Almighty.

The Quran is full of the stories of Moses as a guidance for Mohammed on how he should handle similar situations.

Moses was the means for the Israelites to become a great nation chosen to protect and deliver the commandments from God as a blessing unto mankind.

Mohammed was the means for the Ishmaelites to become a great nation chosen to protect and deliver the commandments from God as a blessing unto mankind.

Through the seed of Abraham God has completed his favor unto all of mankind until the day of Judgement.

Mohammed was the last and final Ishmaelite/Abrahamic Prophet and Jesus was the last and final Israelite Prophet.

The Quran calls Jesus “the Messiah” which means “the one who was sent as a redeemer for the Israelites (Jews)”.

May God bless all the Jews, Muslims and Christians with proper understanding and may all of mankind benefit from the Universal Divine message and Universal Divine Law which is now eternally protected ( in the original tongue/language it was revealed) in the teachings of Islam.

Ok so the point of evolution is us adapting, to the world around us, so like if we need food theres food, if we get hurt we feel pain -but if we have got to the point-through evolution -of all of our needs being meet-then why do we as humans have such a natural need for purpose - if evolution is true -then why do we long after purpose after answers after something more? because if evolution were true than that cant fullfill our need-our needs cant be meet as evolution provides no purpose?

did that make any sense?

I am trying to find other point of views on how the Bible should be taught as a class in public schools. In what ways would the government or librals or whomever try to prevent this from happening? I believe we need the Bible back in public schools. Not just the Bible but prayer and God as well.

Persecution defined here is the biblical definition which states that only when a Christian is sharing about Christ in anyway and is spit at, punched, etc. is that considered persecution. If a Christian goes up and punches someone, and they get hit back, then that's not persecution but rather suffering for a stupid decision. So persecution is only when one sufferes for the name of Christ, speaking as a Christian.

Whenever a child is born, there's a high chance he/she will pick the wrong religion and end up in a giant lake of fire for all eternity. Eternity! thats a long time! does a short life with some joy really make up for what will in all likelyhood been an eternity in hell?

Ask yourself, is it wrong to reproduce as a species?

Why must people attack my religion (Wicca)? The people of my religion believe in love, harmony, and reverence for the earth. We don't use slander against other people, and we promote acceptance of all. We don't believe in hurting others or causing pain of any kind. I believe that my religion is just as right and as true as any other person of any other religion with just as much information to back myself up as anyone else. So why is there so much hate against Wiccans when there are plenty of religious hate groups around that actually do harm others?

I want to be buried in accordance with how I was raised to please my parents (Christian Fundies) but in my will, I explictly request the reception to be DJ'ed with music I would listen to, casual, alcohol served...people get as sloshed as they please, and the party is only over when the last person leaves or passes out.

Who wants people crying over their memory?

I was getting a ride from a friend of mine and he was playing some radio show. I think the guys name was Rush Limbah. He basically said that scientists have a political agenda. He claimed that scientists are secretely plotting to spread atheism and destroy the christian church. I am an engineer. I don't recall ever getting an invitation to any super secret meeting to annihilate the christian religion. I am also not an atheist. Do people actually believe this crap? How does this guy get his own radio talk show???

Wonderful Palestinian Christian Quote

“We are the only people on Earth asked to guarantee the security of our occupier ..while Israel is the only country that calls for defense from its victims .." ----- Hanan Ashrawi

How many Palestinian Christians believe the Bible teaches that one race is superior to others and that land can be stolen because “God gave us the right to” ?
