Pray for forgiveness, believe that you are forgiven, then never do it again. To repent means "to change", so turning away from that sin is necessary in order for that sin to be forgiven and forgotten.

Do you mean what is the best way to be forgiven for a certain sin? Well there are many ways. You can ask Jesus to forgive you. Being Catholic I go to the sacrament of Confession and that way I am forgiven of all my sins.

Assuming (yes I know that is dangerous here) that you are speaking of a person or persons that have in some way wronged you your forgiveness extends only to the person i.e. you won’t hate them, you forgive them. Only Christ can forgive the sin… that is the action and the actor.

Dude, if you don't like what you're doing, change what you're doing.
"Sin" as defined by the Christians is irrelevant today.
The concept of sin as archaic and demeaning -- something that needs to be cast aside in light of current " modern thought".
