I keep getting thumbs down whenever I point out that we have control over our sexual actions. I am the only one who doesn't have sex with anyone and everyone who strikes my fancy?

You are not the only one. People who say they have no control over their sexual actions remind me of rapists and domestic violence committers. Aren't they always saying they had no control either? That they just couldn't help themselves? You keep getting thumbs down, because you remind those who give you those ratings of their conscience and their guilt, and that they did have a choice. I'm sure they didn't force or commit a rape each time someone said they weren't interested. People just need to start growing up instead of placing the blame of their actions elsewhere.

Giving thumbs down to a question in this section is usually a sign that someone wants to disagree anonymously, rather than be bold enough to state their opinion.
And no, you are not the only one who "doesn't have sex with anyone and everyone." Often times those who stand up for the truth get ridiculed. But keep on staying true to your values, and your behavior will speaks volumes. God bless.

No dear one - you're not the only one.
In this world - society teaches that if it feels good - it's ok. There are many non-Christians on the Religion board who may never understand... Sadly - many of us Christians have also fallen away from reading the word - so many of us also have turned to believing the world's message.
Hosea 4:6 "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I also will forget thy children."

Don't be discouraged. Purity, righteousness, holiness -- the world will put you down for believing in such concepts. Remember Romans 14:16 "Do not let what you regard as good get a bad name."
Those carnal Christians who want to continue believing that it is alright to not follow the word - will thumbs down you. Those who do not believe in God will thumbs down you. They will do the same to me as well. You know what proverbs says: Proverbs 13:16 "Sensible people always think before they act, but stupid people advertise their ignorance."
Discretion is a virture. Stupid people will make the same mistake over and over. Smart people will learn from their mistakes and turn from their errant behavior. A Wise person will watch the pitfalls of others - and then choose to not go there in the first place.
The world will always disagree that it is a good thing to have a moral character. Remember: 1st Corinthians 15:33 "Bad companions ruin good character."
By making the choice that we have - we have decided to exibit the trait of "self-control"... See Galations 5:19-23
5:19 What human nature does is quite plain. It shows itself in immoral, filthy, and indecent actions;
5:20 in worship of idols and sorcery. People become enemies and they fight; they become jealous, angry, and ambitious. They separate into parties and groups;

Be encouraged, dear one. Never mind the thumbs down. Be at peace. You have made the correct choice. Never fear speaking the truth in love.

I don't have sex with anyone period...it's called living for purity. This world does not except Christian living. Praise God when you get a thumbs down!

Welcome to the club. I get them all the time just for being an atheist. The haters come out in droves and thumbs down everytime I answer, even if it's complimentary to their religion. Don't sweat it - around here, it's just another day at the hater's office.

No i think its just an excuse people use so that they can feel good about being easy. We always have control over our emotions, body, thoughts and how we react to our circumstances and life. People are lying to themselves if they say otherwise

No you are not alone sweetie. I choose not to have sex. My life is much happier without it. When I gave my life to God, somethings just werent as important as other things.
