have had this since i was 6 yrs old and i am 16yrs old. When i was little i would cry almost everyday because i was afaid of death.(only in my room by myself/sometimes with my mom)but when i am out of my room i am a completely a different person not caring about death/or dying but now as i am getting older..i start thinking about death.&even at school i just thought of it and then started to cry with tears rolling down my eyes for no reason except the fact that i was thinking about death.so i had to run to the bathroom and had to stay there for 5mins to get it over with. Like are u afraid of death at all?I'm a christian and in the bible it says that God made Adam and Eve and he did this and that..but when u go to school there's science.. saying humans used to be apes&used to be dinosouars&Animal change through evolution&and is cause of climate&there's the universe&planets then. where is God?Where is heaven and hell? What happens after death? Will it be painful? I just can't stop thinking

So one command argument for the continued use of abortion is freedom of choice. (i.e. pro-choice)

Here's why I think that argument is weak. It infers that the choice to have a child starts at fertilization. The mother doesn't have a choice until she is pregnant.

However, I don't find this to be the case (for the most part, excluding rape). Having sex is the choice a woman makes to determine if she wants to be pregnant.

I find thinking that the choice is after fertilization, removes the responsibility of the woman for being pregnant.

What are your thoughts? Is sex the choice?

Is it true that the Christian Church that Christ established has always been on the Earth?

The Apostasy Was Recognized By Reformationists

Roger Williams, pastor of the oldest Baptist Church in America at Providence, Rhode Island, refused to continue as pastor on the grounds that, "There is no regularly-constituted church on earth, nor any person authorized to administer any Church ordinance: nor can there be, until new apostles are sent by the great Head of the Church, for whose coming I am seeking." (Picturesque America, or the Land We Live In, ed. William Cullen Bryant, New York: D. Appleton and Co., 1872, vol. 1, p. 502.)

Thomas Jefferson, though not a cleric in the usual sense, was a great student of Christianity. Even he acknowledged the loss of the original gospel and said that he looked forward to "the prospect of a restoration of primitive Christianity."

"Thirteen governments [of the original states] thus founded on the natural authority of the people alone, without a pretence of miracle or mystery, and which are destined to spread over the northern part of that whole quarter of the globe, are a great point gained in favor of the rights of mankind."

John Adams, "A Defence of the Constitutions of Government of the United States of America" (1787-88)

Revelations 11

1 I was given a reed like a measuring rod and was told, "Go and measure the temple of God and the altar, and count the worshipers there. 2But exclude the outer court; do not measure it, because it has been given to the Gentiles. They will trample on the holy city for 42 months. 3And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth."

As Moses is to Judaism,
As Buddah is to Buddhism,
As Mohamed is to Islam,
As Peter is to Catholicism,
As Jehovah is to Jehovah's Witnesses,
As Joseph Smith is to Mormonism,

So is Jesus to old fashioned Bible Believers. By this I mean very old.

Who for the past 2,000 years at times lived and worked in the open. At other times we worked underground.

Our outlawed Bibles were sought and burned for nearly 1600 years in Europe.

This is not an attack, just something I want to know. In fact, what angered me wasn't even something on this board.

Why is it that it seems that Atheists like to cling to the worst of Christianity instead of trying to see any good? You don't have to believe in it, I'm not asking you to change at all. Please, help me understand this.

Again, this isn't an attack. I do want to know. Thank you.

God gives us commandments. One of those commands is not to steal. Yeat it si noted that the people at the watchtower have indeed stolden artwork, proof.
The illustration on the left is from The Bible Story by Arthur S. Maxwell (Review and Herald Publishing Association 1955) Volume 1, Page 5,
The one on the right is from My Book of Bible Stories (Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York, Inc. 1978) Story number 3.

Go to www. watchthetower. com for the photos.

So if the watchtower is stealing peoples art work why are you following liers and thiefs.

Bring on the Vicious answers..but when Im right,Im right.. (RIGHT?)
This is what I'm sick and tired of hearing:

-Catholic priests molest young boys
- Mormons are inbred & have tons of kid
-Christians are "holyrollers" and believe they're above everyone else
- Muslims are terrorists

...And So on.. I could name these things all day.

Why are people so stereotypical? When i hear a priest has molested a young boy, I don't think..Oh, he's Catholic.. Instead,
I feel sorrow for the boy, and hope the man gets what is coming to him.

We are all from different religions, but we believe in a higher power nonetheless (if we consider ourselves religious/spiritual)
There are differences in our beliefs and titles of historical/biblical people..BUT..

Shouldn't we be judged by our personal character, our beliefs that led to our actions, our morals, and our awareness??

Feel free to disagree, just please explain! I'd love to hear another side...

If you have a rather unique religious belief what is it? I know the board has hundreds of Christians, Jews, Muslims, and atheists so I really don't need an answer from you guys...

but if you have a religious belief that is unique and you feel probably not shared by thousands of others on this site--

...could you sum up your belief structure in a paragraph? I know it's not possible to really do it justice, but just an idea of the crucial elements in your beliefs, any rituals, afterlife beliefs, and of course most importantly--don't forget to say what your religion is!

I'm sure this would be really interestign to a bunch of people and would allow more intelligent questions to stem about your religion (instead of a stereotype)

The Bible is supposed to be God's word.
In the Old Testament you will learn this...
That a disobedient child should be stoned to death.
That if a bride isn't a virgin, she should be stoned to death.
That anyone who works on the sabbath should be stoned to death.
I'm no expert, but this doesn't sound like a loving, compassionate God to me.

In Hinduism, is there more than one God, or separate parts that make up one God? Is Vishnu a God or a division of god? Since Rama was the 7th incarnation of Vishnu and Krishna was the 8th, does that mean there are more of these people? Why aren't they as important? I am just trying to expand my knowledge on other religions, but am having trouble understanding all the stuff.

Dan Brown took "implications" that Jesus married Mary Magdalene and had a child from the Gnostic gospels. This is a dichotomy. Gnostics believed Jesus was the Christ but they also believed that sexual relatons, procreation, was evil.
The Dead Sea Scrolls do not mention Jesus, Mary Magdalene or Christianity at all.
Josh Bernstein of the History Channel obtained a bone of one of the "supposed direct descendants" of Jesus and Mary Magdalene. It had only European DNA, no Middle Eastern.
Why do people think the DaVinci code is fact?
The recent finding of the ossuaries in the tomb in Jerusalem that was presented in a "documentary"
has been debunked not only by Christian scholars but by Israeli scholars.
