Agree. In general circumstances, sex IS the choice. So many women nowadays spread their legs and think nothing of it. I'm not going to judge in terms of religious beliefs, just common sense. If you have sex, and don't use protection and birth control, who do you have to blame but yourself when you get AIDS and/or pregnant? Has society really gotten so bad that we need to always bail the stupid people out? And being "drunk" is not an excuse. Whose fault was that?
NOTE: I DO believe abortion is OK in cases of incest, rape, etc. Also, if a women becomes pregnant, and needs to have an abortion due to health complications, especially to save her own life, but not limited to that. I'm not an idiot, just someone who thinks that women should treat their bodies with more respect than just as sex and baby mills. Abortion should not be a get out of jail free card.

Good perspective.
My opinion on abortion is that there are only 3 cases in which it should be used, should the mother choose to do so. First, is in the case of rape. Some people argue that, if you get pregnant from rape, that it's God's will that you have that child. However, if that happened, I would not want to keep it. Rape can already cause so many negative emotions and reactions in the victim and I think carrying a reminder of what happened in your womb would be too much to bear. Second, is incest, mainly first degree (father-daughter, brother-sister). One reason for this the fact, often when incest has occurred, it was rape. Finally, I think abortion can be used in cases where there is a serious health risk to the mother and/or baby is continuing the pregnancy. This would involve a lot of person-to-person decisions, since some people may choose to take the risk and pray for all to go well, and some may choose not to. When I was about 5, my cousin was pregnant with twins. Part way through the pregnancy, doctors found that one child was sick and dying in her womb. The only option was an abortion of the sick baby. Else, there was a serious risk, not only of the sick baby dying, but also that the co-twin and the mother would likely die.
I think that if someone has sex, they should assume the risk of pregnancy and not get an abortion. Although personally, it would a difficult task going through the pregnancy and raising a child given that I'm in college, I would my mistake and go through with the pregnancy.

And to that I say screw you in the nicest way possible =). I had an abortion because I got pregnant by my fiance even AFTER we used both birth control AND a condom. Some people are just more fertile than others, I suppose. I chose to have an abortion because my blood pressure would probably put a baby's life in danger as well as my own, and because I am still in college and so is my fiance. We want to have a child when we can take care of one and raise a healthy and happy family. Sex IS a choice, and I will always choose to have sex with my fiance because I love him and he is the only person I have ever been with. We would be married right now if we lived in the same country, but as of yet we are unable to because of certain Danish laws about marrying foreigners. So really you can't say anything about pro-choice, abortion, or anything else without knowing the story behind it. Not everything is clear cut and dry, black and white.

Some people say a woman's right to choose, stopping the murder of unborn children doesn't take away her choice. She can choose not to get pregnant. The baby inside her is not a choice it's the consequence of a choice already made. We have choices in this country and choices come with consequences, somewhere along the line people thought their rights were being taken away if you have to take responsibility for your choices. If you make a baby take responsibility for him. Every day I see people upset about Americans killed in the war. I think about 3000 so far. That is tragic and sad. Since the war started over 6 million Americans murdered in abortion clinics all in the name of freedom. How tragic is that? 6 Million babies that will never taste ice cream, learn to walk or talk, see a bird or butterfly for the first time, ride a bike, get a push on a swing, hug their mother goodnight, never love someone, never be loved, never meet their spouse, never love kids of their own. all because it would interrupt someones life. How selfish are we? If those babies had a choice it would be to live. This is genocide, Holocaust. don't let this be our countries legacy.

She is choosing to stop being pregnant but she is also choosing to stop another human from forming, growing and living and eventually breathing on it own. The mother and the doctor isn't asking the unborn human if it wants to be burned or cut up or vacuumed out of it's safety nest. If a couple decides to have sex (and birth control isn't 100% effective), they are always taking a chance that they are making another person, starting another life. Sex can be great, passionate, spur of the moment, having a quicky, etc. but we all know that 2 minutes of sex and one sperm can make you pregnant.
If a woman has the right to make this choice, then she should have the right to kill herself. The right to cut herself. The right to snort coke. The right to get drunk every night and drive home. The right to smoke pot in her home with her kids there. The right to sell her body for sex. With no questions asked. Right? All of this does not effect anyone else, right? Will no effect her future, right? So why would stopping a unborn child from having a life that it didn't ask to have be any different. Right? Think about it! A woman's body vs. a unborn baby's body is more like the topic. Not choice vs. life.

Any male that does not use a condom is a potential murderer of a woman and a embryo. Any person that supports laws deny a woman choice and denigrates the use of condoms is an accomplice to murder.
There would be no argument of fertilization if men took some responsibility and used Condoms. So, hypocrite males, in your self-interest you have no argument against abortion until you take responsibility for your own actions and fear.
If you want the Truth.....Ask a Pagan.

You're absolutely right. Some people think they should be able to choose the consequences for their actions, but this is a false notion. Unless rape is involved, pregnancy is a choice. Abortion is seriously criminal in that it violates the most basic right of an unborn child, that of life.

Because God allows for a person to have free will then the choice needs to be the woman's seeing she will be the one to carry the child through till birth. Pro-lifers want you to forget that everyone has a choice and just because you don't follow their idea that you are wrong. I tire of Christians believing in their God and following his rules except when they take matters into their own hands and say that God gave them that right. If your God exists then you need to let him do the work that you say he does. I don't really like to speak ill of someone else's deity, but you have to leave the universal matters up to the Gods and Goddesses.

If sex is the choice of the woman to get pregnant, then it is also the choice of the man to become a father.
