I refuse to believe dunking a person's head/body in water will make them holy.Since I shower everyday,my head always gets water. And before I get crap about a holy person having to do it,remember all about the priests that molest children.

Between 1910 and 1970, the Australian government used legislation to work in conjunction with the catholic church, and other christian groups, to forcibly remove 10-30% of indegenous children, during that period, from the their families, placing them in church run missions. Almost every aboriginal family in Australia had at least one child stolen from them and put in a church run mission.

The aim was forced assimilation, and the fact that it carried on for so long is a terrible testament to "christian" values of church groups in Australia.

I dont understand why marriage is so pushed for in the Christian faith. God wants us to worship and glorify Him and Him alone, there shall be no idols. So why does this marriage thing exist? It takes away our attention from our Savior and places our time, thoughts, efforts into pleasing another human. Isn't that kinda like idolizing in a situation once removed? I have a hard time understanding the whole marriage concept this days as everyone seems to be unhappy and unGodly in their relationships. The world is full of unhappy people who turn to other unhappy people to fill their emptiness when they should be turning to our Savior for the only kind of unconditional love they can ever receive. Is our current idea of marriage miscontrued?

We're talking D&D monsters here so: Ghost, zombie, ghoul, ghast, vampire, wight, revenant, mummy, or what? You can give me an idea for an undead template on an original classed being if you're into 3.0 or 3.5 D&D?

Especially if they are following a different religion. It's even harder i think for the God to work on them to see the truth than someone who just doesn't know what to believe.

I'm looking for Christians to tell me what they think. What should I do to help them. How do you think God feels about their path.

What kind of answers do you really dislike ... the way some people answer?
... especially, in that because they have an entirely different viewpoint, such as the negative impacts of feminism on the job market or on economics, or the [so-called] scientists or 'students' who put your views against "evolution of the species", for example, down in a manner whereby they 'publicly' brand you as simply ignorant or wouldn't know the first thing about biology, etc. and belt you about for your "archaic", etc views [when I've actually had honors in the thing - but that is neither here nor there; it is their attacking - yet really 'defensive' manner, when they don't have the real answers to my points], or those atheists who behave in similar critical and judgmental fashion when you answer OR ask a question about God...
In essence, it is those people who really get quite personal about your point of view ... and in most cases, simply because they don't have a valid, or reasonable rebuttal

As an Orthodox Jew I do believe that homosexual relations, in particular male anal sex, is a bibical violation (sin).

But at the same time I realize that I have no right to enforce my own personal moral and ethical code on others, particularly when it dose not affect me.

As such while I do not condone homosexuality I respect the rights of others to do as they wish as long as it dose not infringe on my own rights. Even if that would include such things as gay marriage.

dose any one else feel the same way?
if not tell me what you think of my own views.

Starving children in Darfur?

The AIDS epidemic in Africa?

The thousands of people without homes right here in America?

The threat of Global Warming?

...or two people who love each other who just happen to both be the same gender, wanting to get married and raise a family?

Why is the last on the list treated like the end of the world, while the first four are largely ignored?

YOUR bible specifically says that homosexuality is an abomination and fornication and other sins. Yet Christians will jump threw hoops and throw in how Jesus says don't judge others and blah blah. Okay, maybe Jesus meant don't judge others by your OWN standards. But if God himself said gays are bad, then how could you debate that? Will you say that homosexuality is an abomination? Your holy book says so, why would you debate God's word? Aren't you supposed to teach it? Will you do so much to deny his word and spit in his face?

Support your God!

Okay, Christians, repeat after me:

"Homosexuality is an abomination"

Of course, homosexuals do have children, but at a greatly reduced ratio compared to heterosexuals. Doesn't the theory of natural selection suggest that over time the trait, if genetic, would disappear?

2007-04-17 19:21:41 · 23 answers · asked by rdk 2

I don't want vague answers like "It erodes morality!" because that's bull. No saying "It isn't natural." Gay animals show up all the time in nature.

I don't want you telling me your religion says it is wrong. I am not a Christian, and surprise surprise, many people aren't Christians either. You can't use your holy book to prove something to someone who dosn't believe in it.

I don't want outright falsehoods like "Gay men molest little boys!" or "Children raised by gay parents will have mental problems!" because that is utter nonsense and has been disproved time and time again.

And I don't want anyone saying that gay people spread AIDS. This isn't the 80s. AIDS is just as prevalent in the heterosexual population as the homosexual.

I want flat out proof that allowing homosexual couples to get married and adopt children and lead normal lives like everyone else will, in some tangible way, harm the rest of us. Provide links to reputable sources only, no biased hate sites.

Alright, go

whoever you are who targeted Kallan?

As that lovely lady said on her blog:

"You see, technically, we all violate the community guidelines all the time. We answer questions with things like "Lol.. good point! Great question!" and for most of you, that's cool.. unfortunately, due to my stalker, I get violated for those kinds of responses.

This person has actually gone through ALL of my questions and answers and reported me for things I posted and resolved months ago.. "

How does it serve you to do things like that?
