I refuse to believe dunking a person's head/body in water will make them holy.Since I shower everyday,my head always gets water. And before I get crap about a holy person having to do it,remember all about the priests that molest children.

You don't understand the significance of true baptism, so no, it doesn't make you evil to not have been baptized.

If you were to be baptized without understanding it (why I think that 'baptizing' infants is bad), it wouldn't even really count, I don't believe. If you were to be baptized and then break the covenants that you made in being baptized, you would be falling on the evil side of the balance (see your crack about priests that have molested children).

True baptism is not so much about getting your head wet as it is about making a (semi)public statement about your beliefs and intentions. One of my personal beliefs is that God wants me to be baptized (following a certain ritual) to show that I desire to be numbered among His people. I did it to show to Him that I wish to grow closer to Him.

In a second response to your jibe about priests and baptism, I believe that being baptized by one with the proper authority is one of the steps toward true conversion and a more Christlike life, but that doesn't stop the people who choose it from making wrong or evil choices as well. The two are not mutually exclusive. You almost make it sound like being baptized will make you into a child molester, which I hope you realize is not true.

It makes no difference. The baptized and non-baptized do good and evil deeds alike. Religion doesn't reveal the fact that 90% of Biblical people had head lice. Back then if you wanted to get rid of them the people either shaved their head or submerge in salty sea water. Perhaps that's where this ritual got its start.

I think it (the Catholic-->Protestant tradition of baptism) is a paranoid misinterpretation. My theory is that pretty much it gets you high on pork so you have less perceptions of truth. How ironic. Baptism does not seem good to me. A carryover from when there was goddess worship, also, a coincidence. When water was 'born' astrologically etc

Fine but its NOT what you "believe" that is your problem here its a "Thus saith The Lord" and you can refuse to do what He has commanded but with ETERNAL results, "IF" you Love me [then] Keep my commandments John 14:15 what it did not say is suggestions, Jesus the second member of The Godhead is our Lord and example in ALL things and if you choose to refuse to come to God in "HIS" appointed Way then you will suffer eternal death NOT eternal life, and that will be in spite of what you "believe" by the way the devil in James2:19-20 believes and trembles, find out more free bible lessons www.amazingfacts.org talk to me email wgr88@yahoo.com God bless

Are you saying that you are a Christian? If you are and your denomination says you don't have to be baptized, then it is between you and God. But the teaching of the Church, from the beginning is that Baptism is necessary for salvation. Argue with Paul.

I don't think that anyone is evil because they haven't been baptised. I believe that if you are a good person, you will get what everyone gets when you die.
