Revelations 11
1 I was given a reed like a measuring rod and was told, "Go and measure the temple of God and the altar, and count the worshipers there. 2But exclude the outer court; do not measure it, because it has been given to the Gentiles. They will trample on the holy city for 42 months. 3And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth."

The Book of Revelation 20: 14 - 15
Then Death and Hades were thrown into the Lake of Fire. This is the
second death, the Lake of Fire. And if anyone was not found having
been written in the Book of Life, he was cast into the Lake of Fire.
The Book of Revelation 21: 3 - 4
And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of
God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his
people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and
there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither
shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

thank you Martin I have added some passages from your website,,, It is important to know
15The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said:
"The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ,
and he will reign for ever and ever." 16And the twenty-four elders, who were seated on their thrones before God, fell on their faces and worshiped God, 17saying:
"We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty,
the One who is and who was,
because you have taken your great power
and have begun to reign.
18The nations were angry; and your wrath has come.
The time has come for judging the dead,
and for rewarding your servants the prophets
and your saints and those who reverence your name,
both small and great—
and for destroying those who destroy the earth."

It will be located where the previous 2 temples were, on Mt.Zion which is the hill Jerusalem is built on. Presently, the muslim Dome of the Rock sits on the place of the former temple mound leading many people to think that this has to be destroyed before the third temple can be buit, however the mosque does not cover the entire place of the former temple mound so it is possible that the temple would be bulit next to the Dome of the Rock. If this were to happen, then Revelations 11:2 (what you quoted) would make sense, since the outer court, the place where the dome sits, would be a place "given to the Gentiles" and therefore would not be apart of the temple.

That reed is a measuring rod for distruction.
Rev 11:1 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.
"measure the temple", What is the temple?
1 Cor 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
Whats the altar? Its the preasthood
Rev 11:2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.
"holy city" is Jerusalem, they tread under forty two months, given in moons are of Satan.
Rev 11:3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
GODs two witnesses prophesy 1,260 days, solar Rev 12:6
"clothed in sackcloth", is their fleshly bodies.
Rev 11:4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth
two olive trees, sons of oil
two candlesticks are two churches that overcome

In the passage that you are quoting the altar will supposedly be in the rebuilt temple in Jerusalem during the 7 year period of the great tribulation. It's supposed to be rebuilt on the temple mount where a Mosque currently stands or nearby that site.

Modern readers of the book of Revelation sometimes think that it must be written in a secret code. Some people even suppose that the first century Christians to whom John wrote Revelation could not penetrate its code, but only those of us who live today. Such is the nonsense that read tanks, helicopters, and computer bar codes into the symbols of Revelation.
Would a loving God inspire a message to his people in a code, which they could not understand?
In fact, the original readers of John's letters were not as confused by its style as we are today, for they were more familiar with apocalyptic writing. Never make a mistake of assuming that, because you don't understand the symbols in Revelation, the original audience didn't either - because to them the meanings were perfectly clear.
The book of Revelation spoke to early Christians, in symbolic language they could understand, about the situation they were facing, not about the situation Christians would face, 1900 years later.

The alter is in Heaven. The one that Moses built with the tabernacle is patterned after the one in Heaven. When Jesus died He applied His own Blood on the Mercy Seat to atone for our sins and ever lives to make intercession for us. See Heb ch 9,10. I don't think this is taking place on earth in the natural sense. The measuring is on the worshipers and the extent of their sacrifice, (size) When it gets to the maturity God is looking for the the Elijah ministry begins. Excluding the natural Gentiles of course. That's my best observation- God Bless you for sharing the Word.

I believe it will once again be where it belongs, on the temple mount. God will lay waste the mosque now standing in the way and Isreal will rebuild it as it was before. Maranatha!

It shows that God will protect and sustain His people during the final tribulation before Christ's return, even though they will be persecuted. It will be in Jerusalem.

Right where the Muslims have built their temple over the old Jewish one .... The Dome of the Rock.
Keep your eye on it, when it blows, it's time.
(it has to blow up, or crumble or whatever, because the Muslim mosque built there obviously cannot be standing when they rebuild the Jewish one)
