I mean, I have personally been responsible for the de-conversions of many, many people.

After their de-conversion (Away from Christianity, Islam and Judaism - My specialties) they become so much more rational and intelligent about everything!

What is this phenomenon?

back in the "bible days" it was common to use the term "40 days and 40 nights" basically to describe a "long time" but that some things weren't necessarily that certain number of days/nights...anyone else ever heard that? Also, ever notice how many things in the gospel have to do with the number 7?

If it was some innocent person then fine, but these dirtballs gave up their right to life as far as I'm concerned. I think it's merciful that all we did was torture them.

Not to say that all are because I know they're not, but you only seem to hear from the ones who are. Anyway, I find that describing people with faith as uneducated is unfair and misguided. Many great scientists, including Einstein said that the more they learned about the universe, the more they believe in G-d/a god. Either way, believe what you want to believe, it's cool, but try to have a little respect. I don't run around proselytizing and neither should you. It's just rude.

Most evolutionist believe that the moon is buillions of years old.
So please consider moon dust.
Ultraviolet light changes moon rocks into dust. It had long been predicted that a thick layer of dust (20-60 miles [32-96.5 km], caused by ultraviolet radiation on the moon's 4-billion-year-old surface, must cover the moon's surface. But scientists were astonished to learn that there is not over 2-3 inches [5.08-7.62 cm] of dust—just the amount expected if the moon were only a few thousand years old.

How come there is only a few inches of dust if the moon is billions of years old?

Don't get me wrong, I'm by no means a bible beater, but I am a Christian, and its always bothered me that athiests will spend all day telling christians that what they believe is wrong while in the mean time, they have no substantial evidence to back up their views....at least nothing that is any better than what Christians base their views on. I can already hear all of the smart *** 14 year olds getting ready to answer this but if anyone has a real answer let me know...I'm here for discussion not for arguments.

I'm 23 and this past summer my church's young adults group studied the book of Philippians where I felt the right hand of God moving my heart to serve within Central Asia (where I happen to have several friends serving already). My one frined Dinara (from Kyrgyzstan) who is incharge of a summer camp asked if I would be willing to help out with that since I have a passion for Central Asia as this would be good starting point. There is 1 problem though, my mom doesn't support or accept such a trip as she claims that would hurt my family (though she's the only one making such a claim) and that our family business which I work at needs me more but yet she always pushes for me to go out and get a real job and move out on my own. I don't know what to do though, I don't want to hurt my mom but yet I feel lead to serve the summer camp? Any scripture that might help me as my mom keeps bringing up scripture that says you must honor and obey you your parents and I can't seem to win against that?

I placed a bible verse in the signature of my work email and was told to remove it because some of my coworkers were upset and/or offended. I did because I don't want to cause a problem. But I was curious to know if there is any written or unwritten law or rule that states you cannot use a bible verse in an email signature. I've seen people quote philosophers or poets, why can't I quote Jesus?
My signature has my contact info and then below (in a small font) read: Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.

PS
I only send internal emails.
