I mean, I have personally been responsible for the de-conversions of many, many people.

After their de-conversion (Away from Christianity, Islam and Judaism - My specialties) they become so much more rational and intelligent about everything!

What is this phenomenon?

In answer to your question, I would argue that Christians and non-believers are just like other folks; some are overly sensitive, insensitive, kind of spirit or not easily ruffled. In short, we are all imperfect people in an imperfect world just trying to get through the day. I believe charity of spirit is the most important quality one should strive to obtain. Such a benevolent goodwill toward or love of humanity will enable a person to peacefully co-exist with everyone and make this imperfect world just a little bit more tolerable. We all have our inherent biases and flaws, but there is no reason we cannot strive to be better, no matter what our personal circumstances may be.

Intellectually, Christians and non-believers, like all of us, fall into the standard bell curve of intelligence, with the usual statistical distributions. I am a member of MENSA and a Christian, so I am at least one data point indicating that any assertion of inferior intelligence on the part of Christians might be flawed. Statistically speaking, there should be a few more of MENSA level persons that exist at the upper 2% of intelligence distributions of the population.

Nevertheless, if you or anyone has some empirical data that supports an assertion about intelligence and belief or non-belief I would be interested in reviewing it for use in a conference paper I am authoring.

It's called a cult. Do you know that if you are wrong about your beliefs and Christianity is right, not only will you be accountable for your life, but them as well.

Good choice in the de-conversion. How's that working for ya? I am sure it makes you feel better about your belief, but how is it benifiting you otherwise?

The mere statement that de-converted people are the smartest is a direct relationship with your own intellegence.

What you mean to say is, if someone becomes an athiest like me, I think they are smarter because I am smart.

This phenomenon is called self righteousness and pride. Your head is far too large.

In 1 Cor. 1:27-37, God says He will use the weak and foolish to confound the strong and the wise. He does this so no one will be able to boast about their own accomplishments. He wants all the glory and honor to go to Himself, the rightful owner. This doesn’t mean God won’t just as readily use the strong and intelligent. It simply means the strength and wisdom that produce eternal results comes from God and not man. 1 Cor. 12:9 (NIV) says, "…my power is made perfect in weakness." Paul recognized this when he said in verse 10, "For when I am weak, then I am strong." The Bible is full of such examples and so are the history books. Spiritual power and usefulness comes from the Spirit of God, not from our human strengths and abilities. It is the Spirit of God being allowed to flow through a believer that produces eternal fruit. This is the reason you’ll find two people with identical messages and methods producing vastly different results. With one believer the message and method are the primary focus. With the other believer the primary focus is God and His power. The messages and methods are secondary.

I'm also a member of Mensa - They need an alternative to Mensa. It is embarrassing to say it anymore. Mensa shows a knowledge of facts. Not intelligence.

I quit telling people that I had passed their stupid test, years ago because I think most Mensa members are just as lame as the average bear.

Sure there's planty of evidence showing a statistical correlation with religion and intelligence: Geez, do the research yourself, it's no secret that non-religious = smarter. Period. Every paper I have seen (and I have done research) shows the same thing.

A Christian cannot "deconvert", it is impossible. Many people are involved with Christianity who are not Christians. They then go around claiming that they are Christians, when of course they cannot be.

Here is the phenomenon, (you can especially see it in 2 Peter chapter 2):
Pr 26:11 As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a fool returneth to his folly.
2Pe 2:22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

Your good at lying. (LoL No...no..) Usually it's because the parents don't want to teach their kids properly anymore. They would rather have the schools and tv raise their kids.

And it's no phenomenon. I recently talked somebody out of making love to a monkey. Yeah, he was Athiest and wanted to "Make" a "missing Link..."

I would call it education. Especially in science.

De-conversion has the potential to change everything: Humanity's perspective of the universe, our willingness to help one another, and to except the finite nature of life itself.

Ethics are also important. Scientific understanding must be accompanied by a form of secular morality that favors human rights and freedom.

Can I ask where you're getting your data? Cuz I'm certain you just made that up.

I'm seeing more and more scientists come to God through their studies. Athletes who retire and go back to school suddenly find God.

Science just told us that vegetarians and vegans are more intelligent as children. Vegetarians and vegans are popping up all over religion.

I wrote an answer to that so-called question, but the Holy Spirit, told me to drop it, let it go.

Every soul you take from God is one more coal heaped upon your head as you sink towards hell. And no use waving your arms in protest. God shall not hear you unless you repent.
