do you christians ever worry that the US will fall way behind the rest of the world when we let people's religious beliefs get in the way of potentially valuable research? or do some of you honestly think the Rapture is so close it doesn't matter?

Stem cell research is the nail in the coffin of the Christian=moral idea for me. How can you possible say it is better to throw something away rather than use it to save lives?? This is so immoral and unethical and just plain evil.
And as for mr. who-cares-if-we-fall-behind: you will when you're watching your kids starve because we have fallen so far behind that people buy imported everything and you don't have a job.

Christianity is the biggest blight on science ever. Until this mythical belief is dead and buried, science will continue to struggle and medical advancement will be severely retarded in these god fearing countries.
Of course the scientists will be free to migrate to South Korea and other countries who realize that religion is a joke and the betterment of humankind rests with advancement of science and not in an out-dated belief system.

That means we are falling behind? Who cares.
We need to iron out the moral issues first. Also, make public the exact differences in the stem cells (most ppl dont know when the fetus is killed, or from where they can get stem cells from)..possible from already aborted babies?

As far as stem cell research we are indeed way behind.
I do hope the rapture happens very soon. Then we can be rid of these ******.

We're ranked almost last in how many countries believe in evolution. This is pathetic. Fundamentalists are truly destroying this country. I'm a Christian and even I don't like them.
