conceit... It goes a long way. You know I've got a great idea for you to start ending the "long drawn out talks with the people that ring your doorbell in the morning" and to destroy the other people that want to ask you all about what you believe. Tell them this...

I believe that what you believe will happen will happen to you for you.

That normally shuts everyone up for me!!! I like religious conversation, but I will not let someone speak negatively of my beliefs to me then expect me to be nice to them because they are "spreading the word of god". I know allot of people that have various gods its funny because no two people worship the same way. I do my thing and let them do theirs as long as it doesn't involve me, unless I'm a willing victim... Anyway, there is the one liner sure to get you out of most religious discussion before someone has time to tell you that your heart is as black as mud or that you are impure because of your beliefs. Oh, and by the way, take this pamphlet...

A lot of religions stem from the same principles, so yes they are very similar.

I think people bash other religions in part because they don't understand them. However, I think as a people, many of us are shaky in our faith. If we put down/disavow another religion it makes us feel like ours is the only one. Our religion is the only one that can make sense.

I really feel it's all about security. If your religion is strongest than it must be true and what it preaches about life & death will come to pass.

Most people just go with the crowd and follow blindly. For those religious ppl out there:

Do you believe in God because you critically examined your religion or just because many people follow it?
Have you questioned your religion from every angle? Searched for contradictions, errors, ethically flawed scripture that might impede on its authenticity from a divine sources? Looked for paradoxes that would prove that the concept of God doesnt make sense? Or have you just skipped all this and believe in your religion because your parents told you to believe in it? Or do you just follow it because other people do?

Exactly...AND no one's right! Fighting, arguing, debating, etc., over religion is LUDICROUS. Religions are belief-based & everyone has the right to believe, or NOT to believe, whatever they want. I wonder when humankind will realize that basic fact & just get over the whole religion thing. It's just an old-fashioned method of crowd-control & manipulation anyway.

I disagree... each physique has a ability to domesticate solid or evil at their own technique of information/perceiving the certainty. a solid individual might turn evil the following day or vice versa. Its human nature. each little thing ameliorations and there is no fact or assure in a single's existence/ideals/habit. knowledgeable in a undeniable faith does not make one solid or undesirable yet working in the direction of it (with in spite of despite faith that is), will deliver solid consequence to him/her. as a result, that's not a ingredient to be taken with the intention to argue approximately. i think of the solid or undesirable nature of a individual lies with the psychological defilements and intensity of one's tendencies to solid or undesirable and yet, are continuously changeable.

HELLO, I JUST WANT TO SAY THAT GOD AND RELIGION ARENT THE SAME THING. RELIGION IS AN ATTEMPT OF MAN TO REACH GOD. BUT GOD CANT BE REACHED JUST LIKE THAT.
SO WHAT GOD DID TO GET CLOSER TO MEN WAS BECOME A MAN AND CAME TO EARTH AND NAMED HIMSELF JESUS THE CHRIST. THAT PERSON JESUS DIDNT INVENT ANY RELIGION HE HIMSELF WAS AND IS GOD. AND IT IS WRITTEN THAT HE IS THE PATH TO GOD. NO RELIGION, NO RITES, NO SACRIFICES, BECAUSE HE HIMSELF WAS THE SACRIFICE. SO, PLS, LETS END THE ISSUE ABOUT RELIGIONS. AL RIGHT.?
WE AR SO IGNORANTS, WE GET CONFUSED BECAUSE WE DONT KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A RELIGION AND A CHRISTIAN DENOMINATION AND A SECT....PLS I BEG, LETS NOT BE SO IGNORANTS.

People always think their things are better than other peoples! Homes, spouses, shoes, why should religion be any different?

Everyone wants to separate themselves. Everyone thinks their way is better because they are very narrow minded people. I believe that no ones beliefs are better than anyone else's, different, yes, but not better.

Not ALL are valid or just.

Man bastardizes God, not the other way around.
