"they absolutely do not want to think they will pay for anything they say or do"

I've seen this worded differently but stated here many times by Christians and I'm wondering how many believe it's a reason that people are not christian.

There are many versions of the story, but the basic premise is that a chicken called Chicken Licken (or Chicken Little) eats lunch one day, and believes the sky is falling down because an acorn falls on her head. She decides to tell the King, and on her journey meets other animals who join her in the quest. In most retelling. Finally, they come across Foxy Loxy, a fox who offers Chicken Licken and her friends his help.

Depending on the version, the moral changes. In the "happy ending" version, the moral is not to be a "Chicken Licken" and have courage. In other versions the moral is usually interpreted to mean "do not believe everything you are told". In the latter case, it could well be a cautionary political tale: Chicken Licken jumps to a conclusion and whips the populace into mass hysteria, which the unscrupulous fox uses to manipulate them for his own benefit.

It seems to me that believers in Religions are like the animals in this story, what do you think?

Is it not then truth at all? Does believing something to be true justify stating said belief as Truth or Fact? Should a phrase like " I believe " or " I have faith that " always be included when speaking or writing about said personal truth?

Can something be TRUE for one person and not another?

I know several atheists who intuitively understand the logical impossibility of the existance of deity and who cannot read, or spell or balance their checkbook.

Jesus changed water into wine, and a little bit of food into enough to feed many people. Is that not magic?

The Bible speaks of sacrifices, such as slaughtering the biggest calf, lamb, or even killing one's own son to please the Lord. The Bible praises sacrificing life. So why do Christians think other religions are bad if they include sacrifice, if the Bible says God wants it? (Wiccans do not sacrifice any form of life, but Christians have made the incorrect judgement that they do and are evil.)

Why do Christians condemn Wiccans?

Atheism doesn't provide any absolute facts to dispute the existence of God, it is just a belief system. So what makes Atheism better than other belief systems?

( an if you do have proof please share, but if you just stand behind semantics you have nothing )

He took the popular stories of the time, added his own spin, and made a religion.. Is this not what L Ron tried to do with Scientology?
In two thousand years, could Scientologists be as common as Christians are today? Will it happen sooner?
Anyone have any more to legitimately prove or disprove this thought?

If God has a plan for everyone, then there is no point in buying a lottery ticket, because if God wants you to win, you will win even without buying the ticket, and if God doesn't want you to win, then it doesn't matter how much you pray, for God will ignore you. A true Christian cannot by definition believe in luck, since God is responsible for everything that happens. Conversely, if luck exists, then that automatically proves that there is no Godly plan at work in the universe. I know now someone will post a 10,000 word reply that basically means "God's plan is to let things happen by chance."
