Has anyone hear used Voodoo? For what? Does it work?

Vodou is a religion. I practice the religion. Vodou is not a magical system. Magic is done in Vodou but it is usually with the aid of the lwa or by means of a practice similar to Hoodoo or african american folk magic.

The lwa have been know to do some amazing things. I have personally been healed of high blood pressure with out my asking. I have also been healed of chronic neck and shoulder pain. The religion can not be used for personal vendettas. If is a religion that is about helping those less fortunate. Helping the community, the family, and the house members. Is not an exclusive club and anyone that is being called by the lwa may practice the religion. Hoodoo is nothing but sympathetic magic. It uses roots, herbs, stones, and other natural objects to bring about a desried result. Many practitioners of Hoodoo are also catholic or protestant. When I was in high school, I bought a pre-packaged voodoo doll from a local bookstore. One side had spots that were designated spells to harm others, the other side had helpful spells. You used black pins for harmful spells and white pins for helpful ones. You had to get something personal from the subject and attach it to the doll.

There was this one girl in my science class that I absolutely hated. She was pretty and popular and all that, so I stole a piece of her hair and stuck a black pin the spot marked "gain weight". Surprisingly, I started to notice that she had more food on her plate for lunch every day ... she'd buy 2 or 3 chocolate eclairs and stuff like that. I thought, "Wow, I'm actually doing magick!"

Turns out, she was quite promiscuous and happened to be pregnant. LOL
