In all major religions, the followers strive to rid themselves of sin through various practices. They may pray in a prescribed way, do various good works, deny themselves legitimate sexual pleasure, follow dietary restrictions, lie on beds of nails, etc. The uniqueness of Jesus is shown in His statement, "The Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins." No other religious leader has ever made this claim. Jesus Christ alone can wash away every sin anyone has ever committed, be-cause of what He did on the cross. By paying the penalty for our sin, He can release us from the torture of guilt. We cannot do anything in the way of religious works to wash away our sins. Forgiveness is a free gift of God (Ephesians 2:8,9).

If your question means in general ways that religions are all the same, then yes. Excluding devil worshipers, and such as that. So, do most religions believe in an after-life, yes. In God, yes. That a person must be good, yes. The only difference is as to Christianity, is that Christians believe that Jesus was a real man, a messenger sent by God, and that he was the Messiah. Interesting that many non-Christian religions except that Jesus lived but that he was a prophet, only. Many Jewish sects believe in a Messiah, but that he has yet to come. And, again, most Jews except that Jesus lived, but was only a prophet.
It is mostly the non-believers that draw large lines between religions. In general most religions have a lot more in common then they have differences.

I am sure you will get a lot of "All the others are fable, but we (in the Euro-white- middleclass world) ALONE HAVE THE TRUTH! This ignores the fact that little in modern day churches resemble the ways in the days of Christ. We don't eat, speak, , wear the same clothes, government as He did. Furthermore, there is the little problem of almost all of his productive years (from 12 on) we have no record of. All 18 years of His years, much of which were spent traveling and healing and teaching is lost. We have a few of His teachings, which form an "INspired" word of God. The Key word here is inspired. The Bible contains highly edited second and first hand accounts of what people heard him say at public meetings. Nontheless, people believe they have it all. The Bible does not really support many of the spins that have been put on it. For a look at how Christianity has been twisted to serve Government, take a look at www.hiddenfromhistory.org. A simular thing went on in America with Natives. This is because of racism, ignorance and pride that many are gullible enough to believe that only white middleclass American's have it right, that God could not love others and work with them. Christ did not vote Republican, advocate a style of government(democracy for example) or declare Himself to be the creator. His followers did. He gave a set of teachings to lead to God, which he referred to as His Father.

I will put it in the most simple fashion - Christianity offers salvation to all peoples while Hinduism, Islam, Shintoism, etc say that it is for a select number and there are some humans who absolutely cannot be helped. When Christianity deviates into this thinking as with some evangelical sects believing in the rapture, it is the same as these other religions.
Everyone can be saved through Jesus Christ. Everyone has free will.

No it is not. There are many denominations under Christianity. There are Catholics (the first Christians) and then the Protestants. The Catholic Church compiled the bible and if not for the Catholic Church we would not have a New Testament. The Catholic Church is the only church that teaches the true word of God, with no changing of the scriptures to fit their agenda. The Protestants starting with Martin Luther removed 7 books from the bible. Catholic Bibles have 73 books, Protestant Bibles only have 66. The Catholic Churche worships the Father(God) the Son (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit, the complete Trinity.

Not quite!! There are many religions who worship people, things and not just 1 God. Some worship many gods. Weather; Earth, moon, sun. Take your pick. Cows are sacred in India. So as you may understand Christianity it's not all the same. People worship money and many things that don't mean the same. There are some who worship Satan. That's not for me. Every nation doesn't think the same.

In the lack of any historic evidence to prove its authenticity? In providing evidence against itself wrong through its own texts? Yes.
It is historically the most violent religion ever created, so I guess it is more violent than the other religions.

Christianity is the only different one. One does not get to heaven on good works, etc. One gets to heaven by believing God came to earth in human form (Jesus) , died and rose again. There is no body or bones in the grave. The way to Heaven has a very narrow doorway. One must believe that Jesus died for our sins and is now sitting on the throne.

Most religions are monotheistic where Christianity is polytheistic. Christianity is one of the few who seek to convert others, and they judge them by their standards. If you aren't Christian, you go to hell.
