I myself am an agnostic, but I find that I am annoyed by some of the condescending and mean-spirited questions from self-proclaimed atheists on here bashing the religious choices of other people (Christians and otherwise). They aren't all wackos shoving it down your throat. Why can't you just let them coexist in their beliefs happily while you go about yours? Why the bitterness? I just hear so much bitter language.

Isn't it amazing that the one thing I've ever seen people on R&S show any unanimity on is the outrageous loss of our dear Laptop Jesus?

lets assume for one minute that christianity is correct....
god exists and is good and all powerful and all knowing.... this might be difficult for some of us but lets try

why would he create a rapist? or a murderer? or a child molester?

so god creates a person and knows full well that he will rape/kill/abuse an innocent person?

that doesnt sound very good to me
perhaps he cant do anything about it in which case he is not all powerful
maybe he just doesnt know what will happen in which case he is not all knowing

all 3 cant be correct so which has got to go...
god's goodness, power, knowledge

i'm assuming that we all agree that rape, murder and child abuse are wrong....

1- Killing a boy by pushing him off of the root and then lying about it.

2- Blinding a man for no valid reason.

why would you believe in someone who doesn't obey his own beliefs?

she said that the purple bird was me and she explained what that meant but I couldn't hear her. I looked around the web for the significance of a purple bird but found nothing concrete?
Does somebody knows what it could mean?

Dont get me wrong im not all anti religion or any thing but i am curious as to why every one seems to believe that religion is a necesity in life. i myself was baptized catholic but i now call myself agnostic. agnostic means that i do not believe in just one religion, i have researched many religions and i believe that all have good principals that i like but there are still concepts that i dont like about the religions. I also believe that people dont need a religion to guide them, they need beliefs that they decide on for themselves and if there is a religion that follows their beliefs, not a person who believes in a religions beliefs. so if you could give me some prespective that would be great, but please dont try to convert me!

"Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin." Romans 6:3-6.

According to the bible No! No more than you would keep Friday in honor of the crucifixion. Christ gave the ordinance of baptism in honor of His death, burial, and resurrection. The Bible never suggests Sundaykeeping in honor of the resurrection (or for any other reason, for that matter). We honor Christ by obeying Him (John 14:15)--not by substituting man-made requirements in place of His.

What do u think about this?

Hide the scars to fade away the,
Why'd you leave the keys upon the table?
Here you go create another fable

You wanted to,
Grab a brush and put a little makeup,
You wanted to,
Hide the scars to fade away the shakeup,
You wanted to,
Why'd you leave the keys upon the table,
You wanted to,

I don't think you trust,
In, my, self righteous suicide,
I, cry, when angels deserve to die

First of all, happy St. Patricks day to all! (Even if I am a day off!)

My weaker but absolutely above average half Nermina and I have 2 children. Our five year old son Amir and our 8 year old daughter Mirela. My wife is a native European, so you know she is a little above average from the get go.

The highlight of my banal family is my daughter. A chip off the old block, I sense that she will be a dynamic leader someday, and will make some guy a fantastic wife. She is already reading theology, and sometimes will even correct me! She is an A student, very gregarious, and well learned.

My son Amir is just there, doing whatever it is that he does. Sometimes he still scribbles, for Chrimity sakes. His deepest thought is whether or not some crappy cartoon is funny or not.

Hypothetically, if a person wanted to put a child up for adoption, is that possible? Or would that get the government all worried about the whole family?

Blessings.
