Because I would like there to be more gentle fairness between others and me than may be seen among most Christians. Because I would like to see more mercy and more truce in life than I see in my Christian world. Because I would like to find and to enjoy better paradigms of life than the actual Christian ones.

And also because the followers of Jesus down the centuries did indeed make great use of cruel and deadly punishments against those who did not humbly submit unto their dogmatic Christian doctrine.

The followers of Jesus soon split into many sects and they did indeed curse and murderously fight each other and the infidels, and they eagerly burned to death heretics and their books, and witches, and rebellious souls, and bright philosophers, and sincere scientists etc.

I don't love Christian intolerance or their fake tolerance. I don't love Christian celibate orders of priests and monks and nuns that contravene the holy biblical law of God that wants us to marry and get off-spring for the future of the World. I don't love modern Christian immorality.

I don't even like Jesus to reportedly bluntly have declared "Those who are not with me are against me". I don't even love some Christians accusing me of having become a lost soul.

And so on, and so on.

One of the most twisted systems to ever come from the human mind, along with the other abrahamic religions. Not only does logic seem to always point against these religions, these people worship a twisted idol beyond belief. Scary that we haven't moved past these in the day and age.

As a child, I played with toys. But when I became a man, I put away those toys. The same is with Christianity. I have advanced farther than the Christian spirituality can take me.

Why are you?

I personally believe religion is for the weak of mind.

People need something to have faith in because human society makes the world a terrible place to live. Others need religion because they fear the unknown. Why fear the unknown? Everyone should embrace it. Once you fall into eternal sleep your mind can truly be at peace. There will be no dreams to cause you restlessness.

I believe in a higher power just not the higher power you believe in. There is a saying that rings true; what we term religion is nothing more than human policy governing the unruly passions of man.....think about it...

Why should I be?

There is no compelling evidence of any of the Christian dogmas being accurate...or even realistic. There is no evidence of a divinity. There is no evidence of "miracles".

Oh, and Muslims? The same message goes for you too.

Because Christianity is founded on fantasy. It's a vast edifice of meaningless dogma and I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.

But I might be.

Why is the question asked?

If I am of different religion would it matter to you?

If I was not would it make any difference?

It is like asking if I am black or white ....... ooops I hav e just used colour in the equation .....................

A persons belief is sancred just like their colour.

I'm an atheist, but even if I wasn't, I could not worship a god that I consider morally inferior to myself.

Wouldn't it be funny if I was? If I was on a deep cover, plausible deniability mission to infiltrate Atheism - for the good of all mankind?
