The only ones I am sure of would be Jehovah's Witnesses, who refuse transfusions. I once worked for a doctor and a JW patient was having a minor, non-surgical procedure and asked to have a document to sign that under no condition would he have transfusions. So I would imagine donating blood as well as receiving it would be considered wrong. I imagine Christian Scientists who do not believe in medical treatment would also not donate blood. Most mainstream Christian Churches, Catholics, Lutherans, Baptists, Methodists, etc. have no problem, in fact many hospitals and medical centers are run by the Catholic Church and other denominations. To my knowledge Jewish people have no problem with donating blood or getting transfusions, however I don't know about ultra-orthodox Jews. I don't know what Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, etc. think of it. But in the US there are many doctors of Islamic, Buddhist, and Hindu backgrounds as well as Christians and Jews, and I have never heard of it being a problem.

It's a great thing to do! God does say something along the lines of our bodies being the temple of the holy spirit and that we should not destroy them. But bone marrow, kidney, and blood donations aren't destroying your body. They're saving someone else's.

The statement "Love your neighbor as yourself" appears 9 times in the Bible. I think that would cover all blood, bone marrow, kidney and other donations.

In my opinion it's a good thing.
Although the JW's will disagree, I don't believe there are any specific scriptures that tell us not to help our fellow man who may be in physical distress. Science was given to us to explore and make our world easier and better. If I can help my daughter by donating my kidney or my blood, I will.

I'm a christian. The bible speaks nothing of these matters.

I work for my country's blood collection system.

I donate blood, plasma and platelets and I am registered on the international bone marrow registry. When I die, my physical parts can go to anyone who wants them.

The leftovers are being made into fireworks.

I dont care what it says in the Bible, people should donate blood and other organs. It has saved my life. If the Bible says its against Gods rules then I will be amazed, there was no such thing back when the bible was written so I cant see how there was any refrence to it.

I've never heard of christianity wanting to stop blood or organ donation. I'm sure some of the crazier fringe groups believe you have to be whole in body and spirit to go to heaven but for all its faults christianity, in my experience, seems to value life and would want you to help another to continue it

I see nothing wrong with it. It is good to help. We should do all things to glorify God--and in helping others, this is glorifying God! I have never given a blood donation, and I should!

The Bible says nothing about it and Christians in general are in favor of it. The only exception that I know of is the Jehovah's Witnesses. They claim that receiving blood in a transfusion violates the Bible's command to not eat blood. Lately, they have changed that slightly to allow members to receive blood parts, as long as it is not whole blood. Of course, they also once claimed that it was sinful to receive vaccinations. Weird!
