I have a "similar" item like this....and it happens to refer to purple/violet as well.
My answer came to me by looking that the light spectrum. You know....ROYGBIV....red, orange, yellow, green....etc. Well we see the colors.....all the xrays, gamma rays, etc we can't see. But look on that spectrum and realize where violet is. Then research violet and where it actually is on that spectrum.
