Please limit your answers to serious discussion of scientific questions.

Someone awhile back asked about whether ID was falsifiable -- how would you know if it wasn't true? I guess I don't think you could ever prove that there wasn't a Creator, but the idea of irreducible complexity may be falsifiable. The proof that the earth isn't the center of the universe, I believe, is that the equations to show the rotation of the heavenly bodies around the earth is so inelegant compared to putting the earth rotating around the sun.

So I was eavesdropping on two men discussing the way the flagellum's tail moves with some little motor we don't understand, and I thought what if we did understand it and had a sensible explanation of how it evolved? I think it would be easier to falsify irreducible complexity than ID per se, although it seems we've penetrated a level of complexity, only to come up with another layer.

Thanks for reading. I hope I'm comprehensible.

Seriously, can you?
And not just your 'rents, but also the bible. That thing was written by old jews 2,000 years ago when people were 2,000 years more ignorant than we are today, and as such I will not accept any passages from the bible as a form of logic.

I can't help but feel anger at the scientific progress being held up and the lives being lost over mythological justifications. Come on people, this is 2007, as far as the future goes, we're in it. I don't know about you, but when I think of the future I don't think of people still holding on to their God-shaped-security blankets just to be able to get out of bed and function in the world, do you? I mean am I alone in being pissed off at the abusrdity of it all?

The intelligent and reasonable people of the World must unite against religion.

It is becoming clear that all religious groups are a threat to peace, everywhere (Yes, including Christianity - as history shows)

All that it takes, is for a revival of any religion to build the fires of extremism.

If you believe that you have a message from God in any form, you are dangerous. PERIOD.

The reasonable, human and intelligent people of the World must find a way to present the truth about religions to those who are under it's heavy delusion, in order for true freedom and peace to abound.

This information is out there. Islam and Christianity is easily disproven - what is harder to disprove, is the fire that burns in the hearts of the religious. This is our true fight!

Islam, Christianity and Judaism are the greatest evils and the greatest hoaxes in the history of the world.

In the documentary the Book of Phillips was blacklisted by the emerging all male clergy cause it gave too much prominence to Mary Magdalene. It is clear that the Bible it's at best an "edited" word of God and some very real life people did play God in selecting the "legit" Books from the false and the criteria used in this selection is highly questionable. So you people wake up and smell the coffee, you are parrotting words of God that are just a bad taste Joke.

I have posted this question a couple times now. This is not about atheism/theism. This is about Creationism being a science. For an idea to be scientific, you must make predictions and then test those predictions. This is an example of a study that involves an evolutionary hypothesis: http://mbe.oxfordjournals.org/cgi/reprint/15/8/931

I am looking for a link of a study that involves a Creationism hypothesis.

If Creationism/intelligent design is to be mentioned in a science classroom, it must use a method of prediction/testing/reproduction/peer reviewing. Otherwise it is just a philosophy.

He has not proven Himself, huh? How do you exist then?
He does not exist? What is your origin? Explain your origin.
He is mean since suffering exists? Don't you believe in various governments, yet they allow suffering, too. He cannot be seen? Neither can air be seen, but you believe it exists. Last time I checked, you can not believe in something, but it is not as if it is "wished away."

On a church trip to Jerusalem, in February, she fell in love with the priest. She wants to divorce her husband of 38 years. The priest said he would marry her if she got divorced.
I'm not making this up. The whole family, which is large, is upset.
She has stopped cooking dinner for her husband, but cooks every day for the priest.
What can anyone say to get her back focused on her husband and her family?

Oh, the church plans 2 more trips to Jerusalem this year and she says she is going!

I am always hearing people ask this question. The truth is... it is because of ourselves we suffer! Why not blame the government? After all, death row is often overlooked, and people are set free after they murder someone else. Why are people so angry at God, when they should actually look at themselves and see that they are the reason for their own problems. Suffering is not overlooked, and rest assured that ALL wrongdoings will be righted one day. ALL suffering will end for those who have proclaimed faith in Christ.

Is it your premise that app. 6000 years ago, a man and a woman ate a piece of fruit your God told them not to eat, so 4000 years later God created a physical version of himself, and allowed him to be brutally killed, so that everyone on earth from that point forward could be forgiven for that man and woman eating that fruit 4000 years prior?
