If so, what did you think?
I think it is such an inspiring book, showing God's movement everywhere, if we just pray and have faith that He will answer our calls upon Him.

I also think that God gave us the strength of will and reason for a purpose. So according to the faithful of any religion am I going to hell where I will be tortured for all eternity along with child molesters, rapists, and other assorted sadists?

Why does every biology book in the world mis-classify us thus:

Kingdom: Animalia
Phylum: Chordata
Class: Mammalia
Order: Primates
Family: Hominidae
Genus: Homo
Species: H. sapiens
Subspecies: H. s. sapiens

I don't know how rusty your Latin is but I see animals, vertebrates, mammals, primates, great apes. Is this some evil atheist-biologist devil-worshiper conspiracy?

Allah in the Holy Quran says about Jesus before death in Chapter 23: Al-Mu'minun ;
[23:51] “And We made the son of Mary and his mother a Sign, and gave them shelter on an elevated land of green valleys and springs of running water.”

As Jesus death, like his birth, has become a subject of great controversy, and some confusion and doubt still persist as to how and where he passed the last days of his crowded life, and as the question of the manner of his death also forms a vital question with the Christian Faith, a somewhat exhaustive note on this very important, albeit baffling religious question is called for. The Quran and the Bible, reinforced by authenticated facts of history, lend powerful support to the view that Jesus did not die on the Cross.

Well, not immediately after, of course.

But if it is said that Jesus had sisters and brothers....why is she called a "virgin"?

NOTE: A Woman cannot be called a virgin because she "was" a virgin once. You're either one or not.

There is a verse in Quran [4:34] that says that if you fear (JUST fear) that your wife will not obey you then you can advise her, don't share her bed and BEAT her.

I have asked many Muslim scholars about this verse and they said that the beating should be very lightly. However, I found many Muslim books refer to a prophetic statement told by prophet Muhammed about a woman who complained to prophet Muhammed that her husband SLAPPED her on her face leaving visible marks on her face. Once the woman told her story, prophet Muhammed said that the husband should be punished, but God revealed to him the above verse [4:34] verse at that moment so that prophet Muhammed TURNED the woman back and told her that he can not punish her husband because that was god's will!

How come god allow wives to be BEATEN although that was not common practice until Islam came?

Does being involved with religion naturally (somewhat) force you to compete with other religions? If so, isnt it sort of equivalent to race or nationality? I notice that races compete with eachother in a dogmatically bias(not all people) way , and battle to be superior/truer to thier rivals. Nationalism causes the competition between nations and causes wars, prejudice, and encourages hatred for your rivals. My question is, how is religion any different from nationalism or race when it comes down to the division of the human race through different beliefs/cultures?
