Traditionally metaphysics is a philosophy concerned with abstract concepts such as the nature of existence or of truth and knowledge. Recently it has become known to refer to subjects which are beyond the physical world, and the transcending of physical matter. It includes such topics as spirits, faith healing, and crystal power. To answer your question, I would say a metaphysical experience would be either one dealing with a healing not involving a doctor or the use of medication, (beyond the physical), or some type of out of body experience not associated without the aid of mind alerting drugs.

That's like.....

A religious experience without the religion
A really great acid trip (sorry but it's true...)
A spiritually changing event
An out of body experience

Metaphysical means beyond or above the body, ie spiritual.

I hope you have one soon theyre great!

The definition of a metaphysical experience? I always thought it meant an experience that seemed to defy the known laws of physics. For example, a healing that occurs because of intense prayer.
However, I'd be interested in seeing the replies you receive from other responders. Good luck to you.
