Somewhere in the Old Testament God appears to somebody with I believe wings on his feet or below him, and his face is covered with something to protect the person. Does anybody know where in the Old Testament this is? I thought it was Moses, but I read most of his books, and didn't see it in there. Thanks.

I was once told that the main reason people hate God is because of Christians…. The guy that told me this was talking about the legalistic, judgmental Christians( more like the Pharisees Jesus had to deal with in the Gospal)….
Do you agree with this statement?

Ok, We have a heaven and a hell. Hell was made for sinners. God made us all. God is all knowing and all seeing. God know my mind and heart. God knows what I am going to do before I do it. God knows my end of days.

Ok, if he knows that I am going to sin and go to hell. Why was I created? Why am I tortured in the afterlife when I was created to sin?

Don't say so that I would have the choice to turn to christ. Because, I am already predestined to go a certain path and if the choice is not Christ then it was known before hand. \

So God created hell to place the bad people he created? Am I the only one not making any sense of that?

I always hear about Christians who want warning labels on games, movies, FCC regulations on radio and TV, and limitations on books with a few sexual words in high schools. The bible has a lot of sex and violence. Should there be a 13 or 17 year old warning level on that? I was listening on the radio a few months ago when a preacher was telling a bible story about a man near Israel. People in the town wanted to have homosexual sex with him. He gave them his wife instead and they raped her. Some how the wife ended up cut up into three or four quarters. I don't remember what the story was called. Why isn't the FCC cracking down on that? Wouldn't Howard Stearn get a fine for talking like that?

How would you feel if science proved, without a doubt, that Jesus was a normal human, that his biological father was Joseph, and that he had children? Would you continue to make excusses for such findings or would you wake up and realize that your religion was based on a partial-truth that evolved into a myth over centuries of religious manipulation?

I do not require that anyone else say BCE and CE. If you believe that Jesus is "Christ" and "Lord" then by all means, say BC and AD. I don't mind. I'm not offended.

But if I don't believe that Jesus is "Christ" or "Lord" then why would I say BC and AD? Furthermore, how could you want me to say something that I didn't believe in?

Would you rather than everyone be made to say "Before Christ" and "In the year of our Lord" when they did not believe in those things? Wouldn't that be hypocritical?

I wanted to find the right God, so I just started praying four years ago for God to reveal himself to me, whoever he was. I wanted the real God - the creator of the universe - the God of love and truth!

Well, I get on my knees every night before bed and sincerely pray for God to show me himself (however he chooses to do it) I've done this for four years!

I pray first thing in the morning also, while I'm getting ready for work. I got nothing at all, really, except for this deep peace that I was a human and that everything was going to be alright.

I felt an increasing connection to all life and to the world. But no specifics about who or what God is!?

So two years ago, I read through the Bible, and was somewhat compelled, but something just wasn't jiving with my soul, so I read the Koran- same thing!

I read the Bhgavad Gita and it stirred me, and felt more like a philosophy that I could relate to than a God-focused religion.

God, feels more and more like just life itself!
