When asking christians questions such as these you are going to get the same old helpless answers. Remember they believe there is an all powerful being that is reading all their thoughts, hearing all their words, and seeing all they type. A guy that doesn't even wince at the idea of millions of people being sent to an ETERNITY of torment. In fact, he is supposed to be responsible for sending them there for simply guessing which god to worship and getting the wrong one. So what benefit would it be to them if they admitted now, in their stage of full faith in this cruel, powerful being, to admit that their faith would waver at the idea of solid evidence pointing to his absence from existance???
If I was a christian I know I would say 'Fu-heck no. I love god no matter what!'
Don't worry. It's not hopeless!!! There are other ways to open up their eyes and see just how mystifying, amazing, and...dare I say 'miraculous'... life is without some dictator in the sky :).

Sorry, dear, but at this point in time, no one could ever come up with 'rock solid proof' that Jesus was 'just a normal man' and that Joseph was his 'natural father' ... or any 'man' was his father ... because we don't have enough of the pertinent 'bodies' left from that era to do the proper DNA testing. Having said that, I think that your 'question' was your way of starting your 'rant' ... which 'seems to make sense' but actually doesn't make any sense at all ... for the simple fact that you 'don't really have a clue' what 'being a Christian' is all about. It's not about the 'scientific facts' at all, but about 'having FAITH in God ... God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit.' Try looking up the definition of the word FAITH in a good dictionary ... like the Oxford English Dictionary. Then maybe you'll BEGIN to understand why I have FAITH IN GOD.

I would perhaps alter my views.
However. Science 1) never proves anything beyond a doubt (ask a real scientist). 2) Couldn't even prove this to even a reasonable degree of certainty. Most importantly, they would need to find a body, and somehow prove that this body was certainly the body of the person in the Bible called Jesus, and that alone is an impossible task. How would a scientist go about proving that bones X belonged to person Y, unless the bones were clearly labeled in some sort of a preserved reliquary? Even then, it would be easily disputable. So I guess I'm saying I can't imagine the tests that would be possible even to establish that first, basic point. If you can think of some, though, I would always be willing to entertain an interesting thought experiment.

Not possible, for God Word is very clear about Jesus and his roll for this fallen world. Regardless of what science ever said about Jesus weather false or true in there eyes I would still hold the Holy Bible over science any day of the week! Science won't get me into heaven, but believing in what God did for me through Christ will!

No normal human can be publically crucified, proven to be dead, predict and then rise from the dead three days after his death. If Jesus was married and had children, no problem, it doesn't change his saving power. Jesus was a normal human. But he did miracles with the power of God.
P.S. Science can't prove that Jesus was a normal human being because they don't have his body (that discovery channel stuff is crap, there was no Matthew in the holy family), it's in heaven.

What if you found out that no religious nut is gonna give up their religion just because it's been 100% proved not to exist. Religious nuts work based on "faith," which means "no matter what you say, you're still wrong and I'm still right."
To religious nuts, you don't need an explanation. I even knew a guy who didn't believe in dinosaurs. Yep. There's no reasoning with some people.

isn't that like the opposite, evaluation is based on partial truth;s and theory's, we just popped out of some earth soup,I'm a not trying to offend or anything,as a christian,in my study of the bible not man's word, but the bible, every thing it has said is true and not guesses and theory's, and still proves to be true even today, and is very exciting to see the prophesies unfold exactly the way they are said to, they will never find out that Jesus was the son of Joseph, because something so perfect beyond what we can imagine created him and put him in Mary's whom, and that's the truth.

I would think whoever "proved" this was just a bored quack, and crazy. This is something that will never happen. Jesus was not based on Partial-Truth...it is the Whole Truth...How would you feel if when you die or Jesus comes to take His people home and you are left behind or find yourself in hell?

i'm apprehensive and uneasy around them, in lots of cases. The ''born-agains'' have a manner of starting to be me experience very uncomfortable. there are various in those communities who've a very elitist way of thinking (''no real Christian might ever try this or have confidence that, or make a mistake''), and that's probably what does it for me. Mulereiner and Crusader supply suited examples of this with their solutions. i will guess $50 they do no longer have confidence that the Eucharist is the literal physique and blood of Jesus Christ, yet that's precisely what the Bible says. nonetheless, i'm no longer a ''real Christian'' to them using fact this is what i think. i do no longer purely like the way such a good number of fundamentalist communities are so wrapped up in politics, nor am I a Zionist who desires to ''hurry God up'' whilst it comprises Biblical prophecy. this form of outlook makes me apprehensive for how forward for the whole globe. yet to be honest, the leaders of fundamentalist communities are doing plenty to help human beings lead extra useful lives. they help their congregants with dependancy, moneyhandling issues, and all way of alternative ''residing issues'' extra effective than a good number of alternative communities i've got observed. this is the place we average varieties ought to probably stand to take notes. i think that any one who considers himself to be extra useful than yet another for the easy actuality that he's Christian hurts Christianity. I additionally experience that ''hellfire and brimstone'' preaching does a similar, yet those messages and attitudes ought to come from any member of any Christian denomination. Peace, Drew

You can "what if" all day long but that does not change the facts. Jesus Christ is the literal Son of God. He died on the cross and three days later he resurrected. He was the only sinless person to ever live on the earth to adulthood. (Of course babies who die in infancy don't really have a chance to sin, do they?) He took upon himself the penalty for all of our sins, including yours. He paid the penalty for everyone so that he could claim those who truly repent and place their faith in him that they might have eternal life with God.
