On a church trip to Jerusalem, in February, she fell in love with the priest. She wants to divorce her husband of 38 years. The priest said he would marry her if she got divorced.
I'm not making this up. The whole family, which is large, is upset.
She has stopped cooking dinner for her husband, but cooks every day for the priest.
What can anyone say to get her back focused on her husband and her family?
Oh, the church plans 2 more trips to Jerusalem this year and she says she is going!

I doubt that he said he would marry her, because priest cannot get married. She must be delusional.

mom in regulations continuously seem to ask your self why they get a undesirable rap. in the adventure that your daughter in regulation is reserved, what's the huge deal? possibly she's extra of a listener and observer than a talker. As a mom, you ought to easily be satisfied your son is married and need that he and his spouse stay satisfied. mom in regulations tend to meddle to plenty. The extra you attempt to entice your daughter in regulation out, the extra you'll be pushing her removed from you and extra importantly inflicting waves on your sons marriage. possibly ask your son in the adventure that your over stepping. only be her pal and that i'm optimistic you have an amazing courting.

It's her life to live the way she choses. You and the rest of the family should butt out of her affairs, so to say. There is no way to get someone to fall back in love with a spouse, even after 38 years. She has a right to her happiness, just as you have a right to lead your own life. 72 years old may seem like life is over, or just about for her, but it's really only just beginning. None of this is any of your business.

Ask the priest if he is serious because he might just be reacting to the thing he thought would impossibly happen to a 38 years of commitment. He may just be trying to flatter your mother in-law.

Ummm, errrr, uhhh, I don't know. I think the only way to "fix" that is to make the husband a more desirable asset to your mother-in-law. Is it a problem with his love for her, is he unfaithful? Is he mean to her?
