"Satan walks around as a roaring lion seeking to devour someone". The only way to "reply to he that is taunting" you and god is to prove what he says at Job 1-4 is wrong. and that people do not serve Jehovah because of what they get but instead because of their love of god and his son Jesus. simply put: PROVE THE DEVIL WRONG. Tell the Devil "Go to Hell," "Damn you to Hell," or anything else like that. Tell him he smells funny and that his mother was a whore or something like that. Make him feel as small as he really is. Don't give him any power over you because he doesn't deserve it, and he really doesn't have any power anyways, so why should he try to take yours? The damn theiving bastard! Tell him where to go and exactly how he can get there.

Now, as for your approaching Jesus part of the question, you have to be willing to approach Jesus "just as you are" because you will not be truly saved otherwise. Besides, even if you try not to, He will see through your lies and know that you are not pursuing Him truthfully. And, He commands us to do so, probably because He knows that that is the only way that we can be truly obedient and serving of Him. Relationships only work if all of the participants are honest with each other, which in this case means us approaching Jesus the way we are and not the way we hope that He will initially see us.

As an admiring arch enemy and a good loser, I would give the devil a pat on the back and say "You have won this round, greed and selfishness run the world. But the war is not yet over, for there is still good withing all men, and when the bombs have all been dropped and the money has all been spent, and the smoke from all the world wars has cleared. The light of good will shine through. The spirit of man cannot be crushed. You tried it with Jesus and you started a revolution that still lives to this day. Mark my words, the spirit of man will prevail, and good will rule this world."

I can give the devil God's Word and it tells us that he was defeated at the cross. The Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins and He defeated death when He rose on the the third day for our justification. 1 Corinthians 2: 7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: 1 Corinthians 2: 8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

I'm not giving the devil any message - he's not on my buddy list.

I'd be just as likely to send a message to the Giant Pasta Alien, at least he might bring takeout Italian if I call HIM.

I am just as willing to give messages to the devil as I am to write letters to Santa.

The devil and I are in a truce right now, he won't bug me if I won't bug him. He never tryed to make me feel unacceptable, he was just trying to get me to be less evil and make more room for him.

My message to the devil is that you are defeated in the name of Jesus!

No message - I don't believe the devil exists. I believe we are the cause of our own in securities - and have to change ourselves in order to overcome them.

Best message you can give him is to ignore his wicked suggestions. remember, 'he is a liar and the father of lies.' Not worthy of the least consideration, really. Just a bit of caution and discernment.

Jesus accepts us just as we are, but also calls us to 'be perfect, even as your heavenly Father is perfect.' A call we can answer by turning ourselves completely over to Him with the trust of little children.
