After the way he treated all those Crocodiles? Wouldn't it have been better if a Godly Crocodile had got him rather than a Devily Sting Ray?

Sura 5:51: "O ye who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians for your allies and protectors: They are but allies and protectors to each other. And he amongst you that turns to them (for friendship) is of them. Verily Allah guideth not a people unjust."

Sura 47:4: "Therefore, when ye meet the Unbelievers (in fight), smite at their necks; At length, when ye have thoroughly subdued them, bind a bond firmly (on them): thereafter (is the time for) either generosity or ransom: Until the war lays down its burdens. Thus (are ye commanded): but if it had been Allah's Will, He could certainly have exacted retribution from them (Himself); but (He lets you fight) in order to test you, some with others. But those who are slain in the Way of Allah- He will never let their deeds be lost."

Let say you were born into another religion other than Christianity, let say you were a Hindu in India, or a Buddhist in China, or a Muslim in Malaysia,

would you still be an atheist?

I have just finished watching a documentary on Matthew Shepard who suffered a brutal and so unnecissary death due to a hate crime against homosexuality. For those who dont know of this case, check on the internet but have a box of tissues. This documentary was followed by a religious program which I could only stomach for a couple of minits as it opened with God loves us all and will protect us in our time of need. Where was this higher being when Matthew was strung up like a scarecrow with barbed wire and left to die? Yes I know some will say something like ... Well the Devil knocked poor God out and took over.... Please!! is it not the ignorance of the bible's teaching that has caused such bigotary and hate that causes such crimes. The bible says that homosexuality is to say the least wrong, so hence you will get fanatics that will fire others up which leads to this type of crime.

Typical behaviour when you ask something about the Bible, right?

Well check this out:

Sounds like what fundamentalist Christians would say when people question the Bible.

Ignore, change subject, ask you back something else.

3 things though, replying to the people who answered:

1. God could do it, because he's pretty much Almighty. Yep.
2. I can accept a universe that has no beginning, because God might've made it this way.
3. I don't follow the Bible, I'm a Muslim.

Anyways, no one gave me a straight answer to my questions, all they did was ignore the question and change the subject. Reminds me of dogmatic fundamentalists.

It seems to me that since you do not believe in God you would want nothing to do with a bunch of religious people. Why do you waste your time on these boards arguing about religion if there is no God? I'm just wondering, I mean no offense to anyone. Maybe you could shed some light on this for me. Thanks!

I also believe the war that Ezekiel 38 of Gog and Magog is not to many years away. Just look at Russia and Iran and all the Arab nations and Russia recently signing a huge arms deal with Iran and Syria. Russia says if the US and Israel attack Iran Russia is giving them weapons to defend themselves. I believe Israel will attack Iran by the end of next year and maybe the US, I said maybe, as they are too tired up in Iraq. The if the war of Gog and Magog is not too many years away niether is the tribulation period. Let me ask you this. Do you believe the Gog and Magog war will happpen during the tribulation or before the tribulation. Many christians say it will happen during. What do you think. Jesus is coming very, very soon. It is closer that you think. Even though we do not know the day or hour, we should know the season. And the season is closer at hand infact right at your door. Chipping will be made comulsary in the not too distant future, as technology is improving all the time,

Doesn't the fact that atheist liberals are pro-abortion prove that they hate babies? What other reason could they possibly have to disagree with the Bible on this issue?

Sure, they claim to care about the freedom of mothers to have a say over their bodies, but isn't that really just a ruse? Their anti-baby agenda is just obvious in everything they say!

Do you like to learn about vastly different cultures or religions from an educated non-biased point of view?

Do you ever try to look at everything you believe from an outside viewpoint?

Do you wonder what's important in our lives and what's not?

Would you be willing to risk vastly changing your beliefs to find your own truth?

Doesn't the fact that monkeys can't talk prove that humans and monkeys are completely unrelated? If you saw a human who could talk and another human who couldn't, wouldn't you assume that the two aren't related?

For the same reason, humans can't be related to monkeys! There are too many differences. I can't think of a single similarity between humans and chimpanzees that is any less superficial than, say, the similarity between a rhinoceros and a rhinoceros beetle! Can you?

someone asked me what religion i belonged to i had no real answer to give. My family suppose to be catholic, The last time I went to church was when I was 8 (When i moved from Mexico to the US) I'm now 17, so my religious prespectives started to change i started to question if there was a god, because i didnt follow any traditions i didnt go to church, you could pretty much say I know nothing about the bible. So i thought for a moment and told her, that I was the sort of person who lived day through day not live to die, i told her thatI was not sure if there was a god at all, and if there was i wouldnt change my lifestyle... then i talked to my parents about this and they didnt liek it, now they are trying to make me go to church but i refused, and they are mad at me when they were the ones to blame (i might be wrong) I don't understand what is the problem if i dont go around chanting what i think unless i'm asked. I dont hurt anyone, then what is the problem? If i go to hell ill go

So most of you agree that Big Bang is what started the universe....based on this notion, answer these questions:

1. If not God, what made the cosmic egg, and/or what triggered it?
2. Why should theists tell you where God came from if you can't tell them where the Big Bang came from in the first place?
3. If you can accept that the Big Bang is the first in the universe, that it is the beginning, why can't you accept that God made the beginning?

E.g. for question 3: Here's a number sequence: 1,2,3,4,5 and so on, so, putting God in it is just 0,1,2,3,4,5 and so on. What is wrong about putting another beginning into an equation?

They all have their symbols and traditions...

the definition of a cult is as followed:
1. a particular system of religious worship, esp. with reference to its rites and ceremonies.
2. an instance of great veneration of a person, ideal, or thing, esp. as manifested by a body of admirers.
3. the object of such devotion.
4. a group or sect bound together by veneration of the same thing, person, ideal, etc.
5. Sociology. a group having a sacred ideology and a set of rites centering around their sacred symbols.

All the other reigions have the same ideas...so why are mormons picked on about being a cult so much?
