Okay, so the first part just leads up to the real answer: I'm Palestinian and was being held by this Israeli guy as a slave. It sucked, but he said if I left he'd turn me in for planning an attack. (Which wasn't true.) I didn't want to be held and tortured indefinitely, so I stayed. Thenone day I saw these religious jews waving Palestinian flags and protesting, so I went up to them and asked if they could help me; and they did, hiding me in one of their houses until it was safe. I staid for months.
Okay, so here's how it goes. They were very very religious, and had all kinds of laws. The wife would not allow anyone but her and her daughters in the kitchen, including her husband. One day her husband says he'll take me to a ceremony at his synagogue.
We get there and there's a band pounding weird jingle jangle music so loud you could hear it a block away. When we get inside, there are bleachers set up and the center of the floor is empty. Everyone is jumping up and down non-stop and singing. Then they bring out a f&cking donkey dressed up like a person and strung up with Christmas lights. Next, out comes a dude with a sheep. Then the donkey is led to te guy with the sheep, and the sheep is led to the guy with the donkey, and the whole f^cking room goes crazy.
Ahhh, the old Jewish sheep/donkey switcheroo. Most fun I've ever had. (It's a ceremony called peter chamor, and they do it everytime a donkey has a firstborn.)

Yes !
But the fun is not what you have as a normal social person, it is different because the type of mental activity is more sublime and pure there is no one to feel the emotional states of mind as in this state you are totally involved with the thoughts of the lord you believe. there are many conversation that you can have with him and get guidance. the routine you select is very important, and following it meticulously is the way to be pious.

Any kind you want as long as they are not heathen and ungodly. We don't sit in bars and get drunk, gamble, and lust the flesh and dress like tramps, and be what we call "of the world." Once we are saved, we get convicted to where those kinds of things just aren't fun. Instead we fellowship with other born again Christians and go to places that will keep us strong in our faith. We love Bible study!

'Course. Christians get to have a 24-hour hotline to God via prayer. They also get to have informal support groups, choir, band, counseling, getaways, barbecues, athletics (remember the YMCA?), philosophical discussions, Bible study, volunteering, and all sorts of other social/religious/charitable activities, sanctioned by their church.
Hiking, skiing, basketball, sky-diving, volunteering abroad in places in need of development - there's all sorts of things we can do to show our appreciation for God and our fellow human beings.
Oh, yeah. We also get to have presents for Christmas. Hooray for Christianity!
