That's bull. The Bible doesn't teach people to attack gays.
People are not Christian if they attack gay people.
In this world there are evil people. We never know when the end will take place in our life. If we believe in Jesus Christ then the time of death doesn't matter.
Horrible deaths also have happened to Christians.
Just because a person is a Christian does mean that they are going to be insulated from a horrible death. Many of the apostles were stoned to death for their teachings of Jesus Christ. Do you recall Jesus Christ's death?
Sinful man is the cause of bigotry and hate.
And who do you think is feeding and helping the poor all
over the world? Christians! Christians! Christians!
People who believe in God give more money to charities
than do non-believers.

There are fanatics with every idea in existence, not just the Bible's teachings.
God proved His love for all of us pathetic people by painfully dying for all of our sins, though He was guilty of nothing.
I deeply regret the behavior of such people as the murderers of Shepard, and no excuse can be made for their actions. Indeed, ignorance leads to great evils.
God bless.

Irrational people will do irrational things whether they are Christians or not. Mob mentality takes over when people let their emotions rule over their heads. People who behave violently are doing just that. It's a lust for hatred that drives them.
Why God was not there for Matthew Shepard, I do not know. Nor do I intend to spout the standard answers we often use to try to explain it because we are just as baffled as you. I only know I've seen things happen to people who perform those kinds of acts that rival the behavior they display. What we do comes back upon us. And we have to be willing for God to help us before we can actually see that help.

You, like many others want to blame God for everything that is wrong with this world but you should be blaming satan who is behind the evil in the world. God will help out when asked but he is leaving us t make up our own minds and run our own lives. Imagine if god did everything that we wanted / asked for then there would be no need for him if we had everything we wanted. Have you not watched Bruce Almighty? IT is a bit like that, utter chaos would reign if we had God interfering in our lives. He is there and we can pray and ask dfor his guidance and protection but remember that without God the evil of this world can affect us.

Jesus hates sin but loves the sinner. Homosexuality is wrong but it must be talked about with love and respect. God allowed Matthew to die and only He (God) knows why. Each person involved on killing him will one day bow down before God in judgment.

As anyone who has actually READ the ENTIRE Bible knows, God COMMANDS his followers to kidnap, torture, rape, and kill people. The Bible is far more violent than ANY other publication.
