i used to believe in god until i went to vietnam as an australian solder if any priest out there can or would have a chat either private email or yahoo ill tell him why i do not believe,im sure a lot of priests had doubts when they were there also

I am not a priest but I'm a minister and a man of faith.
I believe Jesus came as "the light" to guide us through bad and really bad stuff. (Vietnam was hell on Earth as Iraq is today.) God made good stuff but man has made a shamble of it.
But if you can let the light shine in your mind, heart and soul you will see and believe that goodness promised will prevale and is alive and growing today even through the evil climate of hate.
God lets us fall only to help us get back on track. We either sit in the foxholes of life and sit in despair or we attempt to climb out, over and over again and eventually see that light. Eventually we will see that the war is over. So how did I change for the good because of it. What do I feel guilty for? (Know that God forgave you long ago.) I would think we would say; war sucks, Dictators suck, bullets and napalm and cluster bombs suck, suffering sucks and being away from my family, losing my family also sucks.
I would think positively that; when we came out of it and if were still alive we would say; I can breathe, I can love, I can talk, walk or use a walker or run, I can help others and I can worship my God and thank him.
Life goes on and God is God with no evil in Him. He is only Love and loves you for suffering and doing good, because; through His Son Jesus, we are saved!
Blessings on you and I pray that all those heroes of Vietnam. I hope you all find peace in the Lord and forget the past because he doesn't even remember the question. He loves you. Amen PS. I love Forster's Beer! Thanks to Aussies

priest are stuborn standard bearer of the Roman Catholic Church. The feel to be the most superior creature on earth. Anyway that is their teachings while on the priesthood.
