People always say, WWJD or, that is to say, What Would Jesus Do?

They, however, are horrified when you point out that being like Jesus is much different than they would have you believe.

-) Long hair, or short? Long! Sampson was commanded to, Jesus is always pictured with long.
-) Drinking? Yes! He turned water to wine in Cana, & it was the BEST wine they ever had.
-) Pants, or ladies skirts? Skirts! Jesus wore a seamless robe, which is very like how modern women's dresses cover you.

Many others, these are but a few examples. Still want to be just like Jesus?

P.S. Imagine if we worshiped ourselves, following the example God does. Horrors! That's pride, baby! And you know pride goes before destruction.... *smiles*

Long ago,White people thought that inslaving the black is a good deed and will be rewarded by God,and about 100 million Africans were hunted down and shipped to Europe and America. The same happened in America with the native Americans which ended with a huge genocide. Why does the white race think it's superior to any other race based on religious ethics?

No, it's not grape juice. Yes, Jesus said wine, NOT grapejuice. Yes it was the best wine they ever tasted.

John 2:1-11 - Two days later (after Nathanael, or Bartholomew, had been called by Jesus to be one of his disciples) there was a wedding in the Galilean village of Cana.

Jesus' mother was there and he and his disciples were invited to the festivities. Then it happened that the supply of wine gave out, and Jesus' mother told him, "They have no more wine."

Reading further, we see the Jesus turns lots of water into wine.

Praise be, to drunken Jesus? Please also remember, like wise, people also get "drunk in the spirit".

Jesus evidently, loves to get drunk. No doubt about it. WWJD, or What Would Jesus Do?

Simple. He would drink the wine, making it if necessary.

If Jesus had to have wine to drink, why is it so criminalized to drink in many places?

The guy was married & had children but an extra marital relationship resulted in the wife walking out.The second wife has two children by him.He has tried to obtain a divorce from the first wife with the help of councilling by church leaders & friends which failed.Due to this, churches in general do not want them to get involved in any activity/leadership & they feel sort of isolated. In the mean time they are regular in fellowship, bible studies etc.& also are in prayer for a solution & confess of their sin.The first wife is now understood to
have suggested for an amount to be paid, which does seem to be difficult for the guy ,but he wants to get things over with the first wife so is making an effort. In this situation are the churches
doing the right thing as laid down in God's word?If his efforts fail should they continue to be kept away from membership & taking an active part in the church?

I know 2000 years ago he accended into Heaven, and we have been getting sings for about 2000 years and now they are getting worse bit by bit. So do you believe Jesus will return within 2000 years? None of us will be here then as I hope to be in heaven then.In a way I cannot see how this world can go on for another 2000 years without God's intervention. But I am just curios as to what you think. I believe Jesus will. Even though ewe do not know when. I belive it will be within 2000 years. Can you imagine this world the way it is going in another 100 years? I will not be here then. And then can you imagine another 100 years on top of that- shear caos.

I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things.

—Isaiah 45:7

Evil is awful. God is good? (for creating evil?)

Why do folks use this as an answer? It's no different than people who only quote Bible passages.

Last night I had customers from a church called International House of Prayer (http://www.ihop.org/). Arriving at the address in Grandview, at first I thought it was a small shopping center. They had a Gift/Card store, plus a nice IHOP Espresso Bar, and another business. Looking through the windows, I could see they were connected to the church, where a rock band was playing.

The drove the visitors back to their hotels. They were from out of the country and was here for a conference. This Church is pretty far out and not in any of the normal areas where we find customers, so if I had not gone out to get them, they may have been waiting a few hours.

I asked why someone else in the church didn't drive them back to the hotel? They said they didn't know anyone. Isn't fellowship in a faith a part of getting to know each other in the faith, and knowing they can ask anyone for help? The place just felt more like a night spot than it did a church of learning and worship.

John1:1 says in the beginning was the word... the greek word translated 'word' is 'logos' which means 'thought' or 'intelligence'. Simply put, Jesus is thought, just like God. So if you believe in the flesh and blood of 2000 years ago, you belong to a cult. In fact Jesus did not even introduce christianity. He didnt even say worship me!

I use to live with a Jewish guy and one day I noticed this small statue or something.I can't recall exactly what it was.I picked it up because it looked kind of cool.He saw me do it and ran over and grabbed it from me and said I should never touch that.I asked why and he said because it is forbidden for me or anyone to touch that object according to his faith.I asked him what it was and he said for me to never mind about it.

What was it and why couldn't I touch it?
