why did racism thought to be a religious necessity?

Long ago,White people thought that inslaving the black is a good deed and will be rewarded by God,and about 100 million Africans were hunted down and shipped to Europe and America.The same happened in America with the native Americans which ended with a huge genocide.Why does the white race think it's superior to any other race based on religious ethics?

Its funny, the african tribes were enslaving each other long before europeans and america started the slave trade, so dont generalize and say that the white race is the only ones who are racist. And religious ethics???? Isn't that an oxymoron?

I read an article about that. They used the story of Ham to justify their superiority and the use of slaves. Ham was that guy who saw his father naked and was cursed. He was a Black man. So the white slave owners thought it was right to use the descendants of Ham, because they were all "cursed."
I don't know how they used religion for Native Americans. They just believed that Native Americans were "savages." Did you know that this group was not the first to be called savages by the English. The Irish people were given this term first. In fact the early Irish resembled the Native Americans. To the English people, these Irish men were nothing but savages. In fact, it was said, "A dead Irish man is better than a live one." The Irish suffered the same fate as the Native Americans. They were killed off in huge numbers and women and children raped.
Anyways, the English people developed the idea of race. They were very concern about having property. In order to justify taking away land that they didn't own, they had to make themselves feel better about what they were doing. So, wouldn't be easier to believe that you weren't killing people. Rather, you were killing animals? It makes you feel better at night after you killed about 10 Irish and Native Americans.

It's common to hear somebody say, "But Africans were using themselves as slaves way before the White man came!" However, there was a huge difference in how slaves were treated. White people took away Black people's humanity. They created a system of hate that still lasts to this very day. All because of skin color. White people weren't the first ones to invent slavery, but darn it, they were the most horrible slave owners on the earth.

The Romans had slaves of every race. Many of the blacks that were shipped to Europe and America were sold to the white traders by blacks of other tribes or villages. What I am saying is! White of black slavery hasn't been a problem since Lincoln (Who was white). So slavery hasn't affected anyone for well over 100 years. With this being said. How long are white people going to be ridiculed for something that happened so long ago. Everyone that had anything to do with or was affected by slavery is dead. So let it go!

Any religious text can be interpreted in any way you choose & so it can be used to defend the indefensible. Technological superiority made these actions possible & a warped view of religion was used to justify them.

Are you Native, or Black? I am Metis, and my ancestors were treated alright, THANK YOU. You should really check your history, and see that slavery was endemic to most parts of the world, and Most white people are innocent of any taint of blame in this issue.
