This Church was formed after rejecting various teachings by the World Wide Chuch of God led by Herbert Armstrong. I know they deny the Trinity, believe the Holy Spirit is God's active force and not a person, do evangelical work such as telling others in public about the Bible, and have Bible studies. They even have their own magazine called Tomorrows World.

This denomination sounds a lot like Jehovah Witnesses, accept they follow the Sabbath. Is that the only difference?

The Meaning I reasearched states this commandment means:
No adultery
"Against [a man] having union with his mother." (
"Against [a man] having union with his sister."
"Against [a man] having union with the wife of his father." "Against [a man] having union with another man's wife." "Against [a man] copulating with a beast.""Against a woman copulating with a beast." "Against [a man] lying carnally with a male."
"Against [a man] lying carnally with his father."
"Against [a man] lying carnally with his father's brother."
"Against engaging in erotic conduct that may lead to a prohibited union. [That is, petting by persons whose marriage would be illicit.
Do you agree with this meaning for *Adultery*

The word religion comes from the greek religos which means "to come from"..

Where did humans come from? The Earth? Or Devine creationalism? Which is more likely?

Should people who believe in evolution actually be worshiping the Earth?

The Native American tribes of North America all had a certain reverence for the Earth. It gave them life, food, clothes,.. Just as it does us.. But we have confused this with organized religion that is usually forced on children, the poor, etc..

Shouldn't we all care a little more about the Earth? Isn't it where we came from? Where we will return to? Where we get our food, clothes, shelter? Don't we depend on it for everything? Isn't it hubric to disease it the way we have?

Was it stories passed on through generations, or God? Does the Bible say, adn you think after spending 40 days with God on Mt. Sinai Moses would have had some answers for us, like the world isn't flat for instance.

From a survey of my non-Catholic friends, and of the questions regarding the Catholic-Christian "debate" on these boards, it seems that the single largest stumbling block non-Catholics and ex-Catholics have to understanding Catholicism is what some say is undue worship of Mary and the Saints.

Should Mary and the canonized saints be honored at all? Of what form should this honor take place?

And if all graven images are forbidden, then why do we allow the existence of art museums and the construction of statues on public land?

Serious question, so serious answers only, please.

Atheist have a hard time understanding faith. They say they don't have faith yet they seem to know there is no God with out any real proof of it...isn't that faith? Well don't think about it too much atheists until we confirm for sure your head won't explode.

G-d gave Noah and all his descendants (B'nei Noach or "children of Noah") seven commandments to obey. These Seven Universal Laws (also known as the "Seven Noahide Laws") were reaffirmed with Moses and the Jewish people at Mt. Sinai, so that observance of these laws should now be done according to the Oral Torah (the revelation at Sinai). These seven commandments (mitzvos) are not arbitrary laws, but rather G-d's plan for mankind..
So why do you think Gentiles were only given 7 universal laws to follow?
Prohibition of idolatry

Prohibition of blasphemy

Prohibition of murder

Prohibition of theft

Prohibition of illicit relations

Prohibition of eating live meat

Prohibition of failing to establish courts of justice

Why after seeing so many bashings and hitting on various religions, our egos, our self-esteem... we religiously come back here to be humiliated every other day?

I was enlightened when I was told by Yahoo that I am top contributor of R&S :) The irony is, I ain't a religious one at all.

Is this section easy, fun, educating, additive or what; which makes us hooked up with it no matter how much we care.

I would love to know what you think and how do you feel about all this?
