Well now, they both believe in the same god, Allah being the same as Yahweh (Jehova) historically. They do not agree on the special condition of Christ. To the Moslems he is only a prophet, to a Baptist he is the actual embodiment of the Godhead. Likewise they do not agree on the special position of Mohammed...
Both Moslems and Baptists place women as subservient to men, so on this they seem to agree. Both religions place a high premium on purity of worship, also on strictures against alcohol and other stimulants. Much of Islam rejects the secular world as final authority in law, giving that over to religious leaders. Many US Baptists would go along with this concept, although fortunately it is still unconstitutional... something they are working very hard to undo.
Now in my opinion, since I am of neither of these religious persuasions, I would say that poverty has led to rigid intolerance in both societies, and that the real problem the Eastern and Western world are having doesn't actually stem from their religions. The religion is used to mislead them.
The real problem in the East is that all the power is held by so few men, and those men so misuse that power and keep everyone else down. This is at the root of the anger of so many in the Arab world; but their leaders cleverly employ religion to make them direct the anger outward at the West.
Here in the West, similarly a few men hold a great deal of power and wealth, but our society has gotten very good at glossing over this severe class structural reality, largely because more people live comfortably. Still however, when the masses get restless, a little old time religion is always useful for misdirecting the dissatisfaction.
On the whole, many similarities, don't you think?

Would you like the long or the short version? The big difference is one believes that Jesus Christ is the Saviour of the world and the Son of God (the Baptist), while the other believes in some god called Allah and that he had a 6th Century AD prophet named Muhammad who wrote this "holy" book called the Quran. The Baptist also believes in the absolute truth and authority of the Holy Bible of the Old and New Testaments.

Theologically there is a wide difference; basically Muslims believe that Jesus was a prophet and Muhammad was the last and best prophet while baptist believe Jesus is the son of God.
This raises an interesting point, that basically Muslims believe that Jesus was a liar or deluded...
Boy am I glad to be an atheist.

Baptist is a type of Christian, a Muslim is a type of Muslim. Of course all humans beings are just human beings - calling yourself a "muslim" or "christian" is like saying your from New York or New Jersey. Its a man-made imaginary difference.

I think most Baptists are Christians - they believe in Jesus Christ and Jehovah God - they follow the teachings of Jesus and try to live by His example.
As far as I know - a Muslim worships Allah (Not the one True God - not Jehovah God) and goes by the teachings of Mohammed - I guess. Not clear on all of their beliefs. They deny Jesus Christ as being the only way to Heaven.

Baptists, as all Christians believe that Jesus Christ is God.
Muslims believe he was only a man. Maybe a "prophet" This seems small, but it is the foundation of what we believe as Christians.

The Baptist is more likely to knock on my door an bother me by telling me I am going to hell. The Muslim is more likely to blow themselves up around me and try to take me there with them.
