I'm taking religious studies and I've been reading a little about the Traditionalist School. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get anyone to pronounce Frithjof Schuon's name in front of me. :) Could anyone please post its pronunciation phonetically?

I think "Schuon" is pronounced "shoe-on" but I really don't know about "Frithjof".

To say that they ate of the fruit that pertained knowledge isn`t quite right. They ate of the fruit that had the knowledge of good and evil. They weren`t stupid they just didn`t have evil in their lives.By this forbidden fruit they could understand ,see evil, wickness was entered into a sinless being don`t you agree?

What is the purpose of the virtual world? If we place an artificial intelligence program with self replicating and decision making capabilities in the virtual world would it be aware of our dimensions? If it found fragments of more primitive programs would it think it evolved from them, rather than being created?

How literally DO you take the bible? Instead of braided hair and fancy jewelry do you substitute that with 'no tube tops or tight shorts"?

We have people claiming that the bones of Jesus have been found in a stone box. There are revelations that one of Mitt Romney's Mormon great-grandfathers had at least 12 wives. There are unfortunate memories of Jimmy Swaggert and Jim Bakker, not to mention the secret life of Rev. Ted Haggard. We could go on and on. Is there any sense to be found anywhere?

Should Christians EVER really refer to the Old Testament? How do they know where to pick and choose from in the old Testament?

Now I am not asking you to consider that God was behind it, that is a matter of faith, and for you personally to decide.

Consider this, what made the big bang, why did it happen, where did it come from? What was there before it?

If all matter and energy came from that one moment, where did it come from?!

My point is that if you believe in God or not, all astro physicists say that at the moment of the big bang, the laws of physics broke down. Research it if you want! It's in a Brief History of Time by Hawking.

Basically, any answer to the question i put forward would be as mystical as an answer saying that god did it. So believing in God isn't as irrational as you may think, as with the scientific knowledge we have today, you can't give a rational answer to the question.

And if cloe wants to send me a message, by all means do.

You think there is no God but there is a God and the only one. Firsf of all the bible Gods book. Has been here longer than all other religious books. It has been written by many authors in different places and times(years) and all the chapters lead us to the same point Christ. Now as much as people tried to persecute and make the bible vanish it is still here after 2000 year. And there is proof. Like some of the bible has been written first by Jewish leader Moses about 1500BC. Jews have lots of proof of the old testament, and scripts have been found all over ancient Jerusalem, theres no questioning it.

On one hand, those who believe that God is triune say that he is simple or not composed of parts. Conversely, the Trinity doctrine (while denying that God has parts) seems to bring in the notion of a complex God. How can God be triune and simple or uncompounded? Maybe those who affirm this doctrine can resolve the apparent conflict.

According to the Law of Conservation of Energy: no energy can be created or destroyed, only converted into another form. Since humans are made up of chemical energy, although we die, our energy will still live on or be rearranged into a different form. But it CAN NOT simply disappear off of the face of the earth.

Doesn't your life just suck. I have this teacher whos an atheist and all I can think, is, "if there is no afterlife, why are you a teacher". I mean if I was an atheist and had no hope in my life I would probably be robbing banks and knoking off people I don't like. So are you guys just hopeless or what?
