The principal notion of morality in the post-Calvinist world is that we should never be reminded at all that we are animals, and organic.
Since women have breasts that have the function of feeding babies, their going topless would remind people of the organic nature of reproduction, threatening the delicately maintained illusion that we all are hand made by God.

It is definitely NOT immoral for us to go topless (or nude)in appropriate places, like on a beach or at a pool. In many places it's still illegal (which is ridiculous) but it's certainly not immoral. There's no morality issues involved with something as harmless as the exposure of bare skin in appropriate places for appropriate reasons.
I go to the nude beach here on Long Island, and even though I'm completely naked many times during the summer on this great beach, I'm certainly not immoral.

to tell you the truth, I have no idea. I see no problem with it because we was all born that way, so why not? it's a whole bunch of craziness when people think it's immoral for a woman to go topless.

I think it's silly too. Just because we have big breasteses. It's a sign of a society with sexual hangups. We have made the breasts, a necessity of life for babies, something that is purely sexual. And since over here we view sex as nasty and we never talk about it, we have crazy rules, like a woman must always be covered up. If she's not she's a slut. It's crazy. Go over to Europe. People don't give a dayum. Seeing a boob is like seeing a hand.

cuz man-boobs arent attractive to anyone-they're nutral. But I wudnt mind if women started walking around topless lol

Women's breasts are more sensitive than a man's breast. Women's breasts serve different functions than a man's. And for you woman that say men have made women's breasts sexual, remember that the next time you are with the man you love and he is touching you. See if man made that up! Men and women are very different and I'm glad we are!

Men have this idea that breast are sexual. what they fail to realize that only america and muslims veiw topless as immoral other societies realize that the breast are suppose to be used for feeding babies not sexual pleasures

for the same reason you dont(i hope) go bottomless. we would miss out on the fun of swimming.
