Wouldn't that depend on what type of emotion is being "ampilified"? Whether it be Anger, Lust, or JOY?

2007-03-04 09:58:54 · 10 answers · asked by Anonymous

hey dears
i noticed that there are a lot of stupid and insulting answers
at muslims questions..
i think that those who answers are ignorants
or maby they are sick people or maby they are doing this because of malevolence which comes from ignorance!!
so why wont you respect our religion like we do with yours?!!

and peace all

I'm not trying to cause trouble, I'm just curious to see what people believe in. And why do you consider your religion to be the truth?

Just wanting to see. I bet a lot of Christians base their anti-science on random refutations of science instead of the entire thing. So I wanted to see how many of you know the truth behind this. Just yes or no please. Don't give it away for those below you (unless you really want to, I guess that won't stop the next people from answering any way they like).

Hoping that it is God's will that the person will survive. How can this be the right thing to do. We have the technology and medical science to save people why would it be a sin to use it?

This is what happened with James Hetfield's (Metallica) mother, who died leaving him emotionally scarred for the rest of his life.

Only to have an angel turn up at the last minute to say that God was merely testing his faith and didn't really want him to go through with it.

How many of you:

A)Believe whole heartedly there absolutely is no god.

Or

B)Believe there is a good possibility there is a real god;but are waiting on the one thing that will undeniably convince you there is.

Please explain your answer?

This is for Christians who believe in abstinence and waiting 'til marriage to have sex and all that good stuff.

Scientists have determined now that the feeling that humans experience and define as "love" (similar to the "love at first sight" idea) is actually just a bunch of chemical reactions in the brain designed to release endorphins (making us feel good) to get us to reproduce.

So my question is, logically speaking, if you believe that God created us the way we are, isnt it going against Gods will to resist that feeling and not reproduce? Wouldnt you consider it an unnatural thing to resist the feeling that has such a specific and logical purpose? Just wondering how y'all see this.

If they're all getting their information and instructions from the same, infallible God, then there shouldn't be any disagreement at all. Yet there is enough disagreement among Christians to splinter Christianity into over 3,000 denominations -- some are merely contemptuous of each other, and some of them hate each other. Why?

If people saw it raining, saw Noah building an ark, saw the ark floating.

Surely, there would be at least a few of them smart enough to build a ship, raft, grab a ply board, anything to keep afloat?

You mean, they all just watched the water rise, while no-one attempted to build a boat of any sort, they just lay there and drowned?

Surely the people were not that dumb, were they? I find it incredulous that Noah built some ark, but no-one even attempted to keep from drowning with a small boat of their own?

Remember, they had only themselves to feed, not a ship full of animals.

This is important for a number of reasons because the image of Jesus taking a dump or throwing up after eating some dodgy seafood and drinking too much wine makes him more human and believable in my eyes. Plus it means that it casts doubt about his 'perfection' because how could someone try to convince others of their perfection then say, "If anyone needs me, I'll be on the can...."

I thought that isn't even possible.

If we have a spirit body, it will just pass right through us.
How can we be hurt by a physical chain or whip when we have a spirit body?

Are we just gonna be laughing as Satan keeps on missing us?
How will Satan be sure to keep us in line, if we can't be hurt?

Perilous Times
Thai Buddhist beheaded *
08 Feb 2007 11:50:02 GMT
Source: Reuters
BANGKOK, Feb 7 (Reuters) - A 72-year-old Buddhist rice miller was
beheaded in Thailand's rebellious Muslim south on Thursday in an
apparent retaliation for a bomb attack on a village tea shop owned by
Muslims, police said. The man's head was not found and police said they
found severe cuts on his fingers, hands and shoulder at his village mill
in Pattani, one of the three largely Muslim provinces where 2,000 have
been killed in three years of separatist insurgency.
It was the third decapitation this year.
"This is revenge for what happened last night in Nakohn Nua," a message
left at the mill said in reference to the village where the bomb went
off, injuring no one, police said.
Nobody has claimed responsibility for the violence which has seen almost
daily gun and bomb attacks in the former sultanate annexed by Buddhist
Thailand a century ago.
Although the military-appointed government has embarked on a peace drive
in the Malay-speaking region since it was appointed after a September
coup ousted Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, the violence continues.

I'M NOT TALKING ABOUT YOU, BECAUSE I KNOW NOT ALL NON-MUSLIMS THINK LIKE THIS. i'm just saying a lot of them do.
like, a kid in my history class was talking about a president and he said, "for a while people thought he went to an islamic school when he was little and wanted to become a terrorist, but they found out it wasn't true and everyone relaxed." a lot of kids laughed. and kids always say that muslim (especially in like iraq and pakistan and stuff) always blow themselves and each other up. you know, no one says anything about sri lanka, and that's where the highest rate of suicide is!
if islam was just a religion about violence, why would it be the fastest growing religion? and it's not just because muslims are having babies, but because people are converting to islam.
AGAIN, I'M NOT SAYING YOU'RE LIKE THIS. i'm just asking for your opinion about why you (possibly) or others think like this.
thanks!
