I believe that humanity will progress to such a point that irrational beliefs and superstitions will be abandoned.

My proof: Human history shows a steady progression in our understanding of the universe and with it a progression in our physical well-being, our institutions and overall health of the species. At the same time, adherence to irrational belief systems have slowly and steadily declined. There is no indication that these trends should or will stop.

I believe that the application of science and logic is the best method for navigating and understanding the universe, and will remain so indefinitely.

My proof: Human history shows that science consistently uncovers more information and leads us to a better understanding of the universe. Whereas no other methods (ie: astrology, transcendental meditation, dowsing, etc.) have produced any results beyond those experienced by individuals in a completely personal way.

I believe that it is up to each of us as individuals to create meaning, or not, for our own lives.

1) The instinct to do so is strong enough that many people use a pre-existing template for theirs.

2) The rest of us have done so, often in dialogue with the templates, with wonderful results. Even when it means rejecting a damaged template like modern Christianity.

3) Albert Camus rocks.

I believe we evolved. The fossil record and abundant other evidence such as the evolution of the flu, testify that organisms have evolved through time. There is also molecular evidence which offer proof of how the first splits created the differences between bacteria, eukaryotic cells, and prokaryotic cells evolved.

I have good strong evidence that God made the world, and after excepting that that Jesus is God in human flesh... If there was proof then faith wouldn't exist it would be replaced by knowledge and since salvation come by faith, no one would have a chance for that salvation.... Faith is where it's at!!! Jim
