This is for Christians who believe in abstinence and waiting 'til marriage to have sex and all that good stuff.

Scientists have determined now that the feeling that humans experience and define as "love" (similar to the "love at first sight" idea) is actually just a bunch of chemical reactions in the brain designed to release endorphins (making us feel good) to get us to reproduce.

So my question is, logically speaking, if you believe that God created us the way we are, isnt it going against Gods will to resist that feeling and not reproduce? Wouldnt you consider it an unnatural thing to resist the feeling that has such a specific and logical purpose? Just wondering how y'all see this.

Sex is a good thing when contained to the God created union of husband and wife. When God made Eve, and she and Adam were joined they became one. God called THEM Adam. This is why premarital sex is wrong and against the bible. When we have sexual relations outside of this God created union it is a sin. When sex takes place, we exchange parts of our very soul, and this is something that follows us forever. It's also called soul ties. If you could imagine when you get married standing next to your wife, and then having all others beside you that you once had relations with...This would not be good. We may not see this in the natural, but spiritually this is what takes place.

Another point is God made Fire, and fire when contained is a good and helpful thing, but when it gets out of control and used in inappropriate ways it's dangerous and even deadly. Sex is the same way. Sex within God's plan is wonderful, but outside of that is dangerous.

We have the ability to choose what we do with our lives. This is one example of how we are different from animals.
Sex was created by Nature for reproduction. As people, the best situation for the child is to have a mother and a father, when possible. (This is sometimes not possible)
We have a free will. When we respect God's laws and give God our abstinence, and save sex only for marriage, we are giving back to God that which was given for the right reasons.

Sure we believe that. God just wants us to be married when we do reproduce. He don't tell people when to get married. Waiting until late 20's to get married is something new among Men and Women. They use to be married at 16 or sometimes younger. What God wants is for the children to have a mother and father who teach their children how to grow up happy and lead useful lives.

A agree with you entirely and we must reproduce when we feel that it's the right moment. There are religious truths and there are scientific truths and they tend to confuse people like us. But tell you the truth god can't be against reproduction simply because by that we are essentially helping his cause. Is it not true that god created the world and we are simply carrying out the the world he created. How can he be against that?

God did create us with that desire and ability, but He has taught us to use it in the proper context, marriage. He wants us to use our abilities, but He also wants us to be obedient. His rules about the sanctity of marriage are in fact for our protection, not to spoil our fun.

Abstinence is a commandment of God. It is ment to keep the intimacy between husband and wife special and pure. We are supposed to be the masters of our bodies, emotions and our hormones; not slaves.

The chemical reactions happen after the mind has made a decision. What the scientist cant test and measure is the spirit making the decision;which is why they come up with nonesense like that;cuase they dont take the spirit into account.

You are confusing lust with love.

Lust is the sexual temptation caused by appreciation of someone's physical appearance. Love is an act shown to another to show one's appreciation and kindness toward someone.

God created sex to be enjoyed between a husband and wife. In His Word, He has made it clear that sex outside of marriage is forbidden. We are to be obedient to His Word, no matter what.

We have a lot of natural, God given desires. It isn't that God calls us to never have them satisfied, it's that He tells us to have them satisfied in his time and way. That's why the Apostle Paul counseled the young believers at the church in Corinth:

1 Corinthians 7:2 But because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband. 3 The husband should give to his wife her conjugal rights, and likewise the wife to her husband. 4 For the wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. Likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. 5 Do not deprive one another, except perhaps by agreement for a limited time, that you may devote yourselves to prayer; but then come together again, so that Satan may not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.

Christians have been given the Holy Spirit who gives us the power to live changed lives and to exercise self-control.

1 Peter 4:1 Since therefore Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves with the same way of thinking, for whoever has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, 2 so as to live for the rest of the time in the flesh no longer for human passions but for the will of God.

3 The time that is past suffices for doing what the Gentiles want to do, living in sensuality, passions, drunkenness, orgies, drinking parties, and lawless idolatry. 4 With respect to this they are surprised when you do not join them in the same flood of debauchery, and they malign you; 5 but they will give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.

1 Thessalonians 4:3 For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; 4 that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor, 5 not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God;
