It's simple logic. I guess liberals don't understand simple logic, though....

Why is faith so important, when it is based on myths?

Why do people still believein Christianity when it has already been disproven and completely discredited?

Seeing as creationists believe the earth is about 6000 years old, does that mean you also don't believe that the continents were once arranged differently? Do you therefore think plate tectonics is a deceit?

Also, seeing as conventional science holds that the light from distant stars supposedly took millions of years to reach Earth, do you also believe that there is no upper limit on the speed of light?

And do you also disagree with the concept that metamorphic rocks are formed by pressure over millions of years? And that living creatures were compressed over vast time-spans into crude oil?

Is there any science you will not try to discredit because it conflicts with the Bible?

Is it a good thing when a guy that you like lives an entire world away and he feels a spiritual connection with you?

I like this guy that I met in South America. I'm still in touch with him through emails and most likely going South American for work for a long time. One of his friend who I'm also in touch with, told me that he is physically attracted to me and feels a strong spiritual connection with me.

Is this a good thing? In what way does this imply "spiritual connection" or what does it really mean?

How did the animals breed after the flood?

There were 2 of each species left on earth after the flood... right? Ok, so they had offspring.

Then who did their offspring mate with? Each other? That's incest. According to other parts of the bible, incest is wrong.

And what about creatures like bees? Bees don't breed with 1 male and 1 female. It takes hundred of male drones breeding with each queen to produce offspring. But in the story, only 1 male and 1 female bee would have been allowed on the ark!!

Does anyone NOT see through the opportunism here? He simply talks the language of a large part of the electorate.

I don't see how he's more religios than the man on the moon. Frankly, I think he's a shifty character that could convince the public to believe in lepracons and fairies.

WHy do all Christians think that Christianity is the truth, ALL Muslims think Islam is the truth, all Jehovah's Wittnesses think they have the only truth, all mormons think THEY have the only truth, all Buddhists think THEY have the one great truth...

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE?

If you say that all religions have some truth, that is not an answer, because all religions do not believe that at all!

If we're giving up meat, shouldn't we just give up meat altogether? Not only that, but are we only not eating meat on Fridays because we're expected to?

And what the heck is fish that we are allowed to eat it on Fridays???

We can't even give up all meat on fridays, but we have to cheat and say, "Well, fish isn't meat" YES IT IS!!! IT IS THE MUSCLE OF AN ANIMAL THAT MAKES IT MEAT!!!

If you're going to give something for lent as an 'act of contrition,' don't you have to actually be contrite?

Why can't you give up meat for all of lent?

This is why we, as christians are called hypocrites.

I personally, haven't given anything up for lent, but at least I don't parade around pretending i'm so holy because i've given up meat on fridays (except for fish.)

and don't even get me started on Mardi Gras!!!

Religious beliefs serve an important function in the daily lives and attitudes of most of us...Religion helps people to be centered and grounded.

However, a person’s fervent religious practices can signify other, darker aspects of his or her mental health. For example, if someone’s faith is used to mask or avoid psychological problems, or if their religious inclinations are taken to extremes, there is an excellent possibility that the person is suffering from a psychiatric disorder.

One term used to describe such a case is “hyper-religiosity.” A “hyper” condition of any sort—e.g. hyperactivity, hyperglycemia, etc.—simply means too much of something. In the case of religious beliefs, the question of having too much becomes a factor when the religion starts adversely affecting people’s social behavior, their ability to function rationally, and even their own physical health.

http://www.metacafe.com/watch/351485/conjoined_twins/

Since the body has only 1 soul, which one dies, which one goes to heaven, or do they share a soul?

Do they date the same guy?
If one of them dies, how will it affect the other?
What happens when they both want to go opposite directions?
Or they get in a fight with each other?
Do they get 2 paychecks for working on a job, or only 1?
If one of them takes Prozac for depression, will the other get mad?
Do both mouths feed the same stomach?

http://www.metacafe.com/watch/181943/2_headed_kitten/

If animals go to heaven, do both halves make it? or only 1?
Does the kitten drink milk with both mouths at once?
Can it eat/drink twice as fast with 2 mouths?
Cleanup must be a snap with 2 tongues!

Seriously though, which one of the twins above will make it to heaven, or do 2 heads share the same soul?

If one of them tithes & the other one doesn't, are they still stealing from God?
