His handlers have been planting those pictures of him with a halo in the media for years.

Being a believer in Christ does not automatically = perfection.
It makes me wonder how you define being a "religious man" and how that's meant to be compatible with the responsibilities of his Office.
Monica is at least not hiding under the desk in the Oval Office servicing Slick Willy. Tricky Dick isn't playing cloak & dagger with Watergate any more. And Marilyn Monroe isn't hanging out waiting for JFK's late-night phone calls any more.
Our political system rarely offers the optimal man for the job. The best we ever get is the lesser of two evils. Perhaps you'd prefer Hollywood's favorite of the hour, Al Gore?

He is not a man of God. However he, like a bunch of wealthy politicians, uses God as a catalyst when he is trying to convince America he is doing the right thing. He isn't fooling anybody accept his followers who, quite frankly, are far more idotic than Bush himself.

I've seen no evidence of him being a man of God. A certain element known as the "Christian right" or the "Gullible Christian Right", swallowed him, hook, line and sinker. It's tragic.
I believe what has really happened is the wealthy capitalists have put a lot of money into spreading misinformation about him - and about his opponents. People still haven't figured out how they can be manipulated.

Is the "love of money" the" root of all evil"? Is CAPITALISM based on loving money? Who is the figurehead of capitalism? To be a success in politics you must manipulate the masses(ha ha). Bush is only following in the foot steps of pope emperor Constantine, the Egyptian Pharaohs and many others.

Some people claim to talk to God... those that actually listen to Him are too busy doing good works to stop and tell you about how they talk to God... or sometimes they sacrifice their 1stborn son on top of a mountain... God's a moody bastard like that.

Bush is a dry alcoholic and coke abuser using Jesus to stay dry and pander to his "base." My guess is he cares no more about his gods than he does about anyone worth less than a billion dollars. When a Republican talks about "family values," I want to puke. The only families they care about are rich, white, Protestant, Republican families.

Perhaps the question should be "Which God is he really following?" He certainly could use some brushing up on the basics of the faith he professes......
