The most important lesson? The same as what jesus said at Matthew 12:30 is the most important commandment - To love God "with your whole heart and with your whole soul and with your whole mind and with your whole strength."
Why? Because if you love God, it will move you to follow his laws - and not just to the letter, but rather the principle. If everyone did that, this world would be a much better place.

Sup even as your watching your television, surfing the internet, playing video games, or listening to your ipod do you ever quit and imagine: 'Goddamn existence might want to were uninteresting 2000 years in the past' Scriptures weren't in any respect meant to be taken at face fee, they had to contain some style of exciting memories into them to get the moral values of their Deities for the period of, otherwise no man or woman would have stricken studying them. have you ever study the assertion of Independence in finished. possibly, although this isn't any longer fringe of your seat stuff. the position as if that that they had have thrown a pair of sharks or shootouts into the blend, it could be a extra exciting study. There must be some element of leisure with issues that, taken at face fee are a truly uninteresting algorithm. And this is those algorithm that religious people are following, no longer the memories that contain them

The most important lesson is that religion was used and continues to be used to murder millions of people like they were during the Crusades, the Inquisitions, and all kinds of religious wars. It teaches us that the curse of religion should be abolished as soon as possible.

To me, the single most important lesson that EVERY believer of any faith should pay attention to is ....
believe, but DON'T push your beliefs on anyone else.
Where is this found? In the Qur'an, 2:6.
"It makes no difference if you warn or do not warn them, they still will not believe"

The most important religious lesson is not to judge and condemn others by the Bible, not even in your thoughts. In other words, don't apply the Bible to someone else. Apply the Bible only to your own life and circumstances, which is all you are accountable for.

I would say the most important lessons of all faiths can be summed up with "Love One Another", "Know Yourself" and "Moderation in Everything"

Jesus was asked "Master, what is the greatest commandment?" Jesus answered "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like unto the first: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."
In other words, if you get this then you got it all.

The golden rule - Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
If you want respect, then show respect.
Some humans seem to ignore this rule, which is why the world is in some very deep doodoo right now.

The 10 commendments are the most important for me: love your fellow men, forgive one another, do not steal, do not commit murder or adultery, honour God your Lord, do not worship idols, honour your parents, do not intend to take your fellow men's possessions and do not lie against your fellow men.

Love thy neighbor as thyself.
Why? Because if we treat others the way we want to be treated, and they returned the love, there'd be no need to lock our doors, there'd be no need for money, we'd have no fear of someone bashing our heads in because of the way we looked or the clothes we wear, etc..etc..
