For you christains out there that say you would, you are morons. Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice so god would never ask you to do it, because it wouldn't mean anything. The only possibility would be that the devil is telling you to do it, not god. I hate people who don't know anything about their religion.
For jews and muslims I don't know the answer.

Of course I wouldn't.
And I definately would seek outside verification that a god was who I was speaking to.
If my god comes to me and says "sing me a hymn 4 times a day," I have no reason to doubt it, but if my god asked me to do something that influenced another (whether killing them or just trying to covert them) said god better damn well give me evidence that goes beyond the realm of ME.

I bet christians will respond by saying 'OMG God would like never do that! He so loves us and stuff' but did you know that he did ask somebody to sacrafice their child in the bible before? Doesn't sound very loving too me! Sure he stopped it before he killed the poor kid, but it was a pretty cruel mind game he played there!
In answer to your question I don't beleive God is real and so don't often worry about this happening, but in the unlikely event that he were real and asked me to kill my child, I still would not do it. Does this mean i'll go to Hell? Cause that definitley doesn't sound like love¬!

I would call god an idiot, because I don't have a child. Then I would ask him what the hell happened to him the past 2000 years.

I have always thought that was a strange story. I don't know what I would do if God actually spoke to me. I hope he would never ask such a horrible thing. I think I would kill myself first rather then my child, now that I think about that.

well, since God is King of the universe and what he says goes, I would, and I know God would stop me b/c He doesn't condone human sacrifices

Since I dont beleive god involves himself with us (quite obviously stupid) humans, I am not expecting him to ever make this request.
If another human ever asked me to do that, I would consider that human to be insane. Why does that sound familiar?
Oh yeah Bush is insane, he's been asking families to sacrifice their kids for no reason at all these last 4 years.
