For example, many Christians say this:
"Even though the Crusades slaughtered many innocent people, Christianity isn't responsible because the Crusaders weren't real Christians"

And what's wrong with making humans equal to the gods?

Why do some humans believe we have to lower our self worth to befriend gods?

What is the explanation for this "crazy wisdom" among Tibetan and Indian adepts? I don't understand how it can be holy. I understand to some extent why you may want to cast off some social conventions. But how can intoxication and promiscuous sexual activity ever be holy? If nothing else, wouldn't this send the wrong message to people who are not enlightened?

If it is proven beyond reasonable doubt that the tomb found in 1980, and being presented as "The Lost Tomb of Jesus" by an upcoming Discovery Channel documentary, is in fact the ossuary (bone box) of Jesus Christ and the bones found inside (but since reburied) are the remains of Jesus Christ, will this fundamentally destroy christianity? Will it undermine the veracity in other areas of the new testament, a book that is supposed to be the 100% true, inspired and divine word of god?

It won't be long before science makes virtual reality a reality, that is, it'll soon be possible to carry out your wildest fantasies - your wildest fantasies - in an environment that doesn't exist.

Would that be a sin?

Take a look at this:

The Perfumed Garden of The Shaykh Nefzawi. By 'Umar ibn-Muhammad, is the sixteenth-century Islamic Sex Manual that describes 36 sexual positions, of which the 24th is considered the best.

Footnote: The missionary position did not even make the list.

Many people asked us to imagine a world without religion and a lot of people said that such a world would be a better place. Other people said that it would be a lot worse and only few said that it would be the same. I agree with the few ones. But why not imagining a world in which everybody believes in the same god, whoever he/she is and live in harmony? Will it work? Well, not 100%, but do you remember what the Amish people did when one of them was murdered by one of their own? They forgave him and prayed for his soul. I don't know whether this is the right way or not, but I was positively impressed by their attitude. Do you find that attitude the right one? Do you think that we can understand and forgive without religion? Do you agree with me when I say that a world with only one religion can be as good as one with no religion at all?
P.S. I am not Amish and I do not try to make you believe in my god because, anyway, you don't know whom/what I believe in. Extremists, don't answer!

If you don't believe in god or satan then just pretend you do. Would you like, grab a cross or quote bible verses or invite him to tea? What would you do if you met the "ultimate evil" and he was a knocking at your door?

people say that they don't believe in God because there is no proof that he exists, but if you were to look for proof of a God, what would you even look for? If He is so much greater than you, how do you know that even if He had his existence written in your eyelids that you could even comprehend it?

only answer the question por favor :D

If a survey of faculty members from "elite" American universities revealed that a majority of them believed in god, does it naturally follow that all scientists the world over share their views?

Of course not. There could be 10, or 100, or 1000 atheist scientists for every theistic faculty member. This is why you can't draw broad sweeping conclusions from TWO STUDIES.

Learn to UNDERSTAND statistics, and not be tricked by the clever use of words. It's called MANIPULATION people!

"Religious doctrines are not the residue of experience or the final result of reflection. They are illusions, fulfillments of the oldest, strongest and most insistent wishes of mankind. The secret of their strength is the strength of these wishes." SIGMUND FREUD

What if(this is not actually a mere hypothetical) a woman wants to abort the child in "her body" for no other reason than she doesn't like the unborn's gender.. How does that stand by you pro-choice folks?

http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/medicaln...

http://www.nrlc.org/news_and_views/may06...

How is the abortion on millions(this is no exaggeration) of unborn FEMALE children a pro-women's rights issue instead of being a disgrace?

You pro-abortionist love to cite the extremes of rape and incest "will someone please think of the poor rape victim, oh please won't you help her." Well let's just address the issue of UNCONDITIONAL abortion.. Right or Wrong?
