A few weeks ago, a local psychic reading gave me a tarot card reading which provided advanced knowledge of the future. She said I would be meeting a woman named Sarah by June of this year.

Well, today, while praying at the local college campus chapel, I prayed specifically about finding this woman and asking God's help to bring her forth to me.

As I sat there in prayer, a voice said to me,"Pray here for at least fifteen minutes, but do not leave until that time is up." So I prayed for several minutes. As time past, I grew more and more impatient, wanting to leave. I felt like this was all very foolish.

When I was about ready to just get up and leave, the voice again said,"Do not leave just yet. Please wait 2 more minutes." Again, I waited, estimating 2 minutes but definitely counting down quickly.

As I reached the signout sheet to leave, a woman walks in from campus crusade and signs it "Sarah Short." She gives me the oddest looks, and continues to as we pray.

What was this?

Ok Atheists say that there is no God. But is it not true that we former monkeys (according to Atheists) are still very much oblivious when it comes to so many things. We still don't know much about the Universe. We still don't know anything about this 'dark matter' which comprises most of the Universe.

So when there is so much unknown, how can one be sure that there really is no God? Would it not be better if you are an Agnostic? Because the unknown factor is always there.

Is this how many theists think?

"I can't believe the Earth/universe was created by chance so there MUST be a God!"

Sad...

The Romans are just as gulity, if not more, than the Jews when it comes to the death of Jesus.

So why is it that never once in history were Romans persecuted for it?

a bit of a double standard?

I'm a Christian, but I've had this one question for a while. It's not wrong to ask questions is it?

God created all people and gave them free will, but he also gave each person their individual will, right? He knew what circumstances we would each go through in our life and he knew before he created us whether we would go to Heaven or Hell. Why would he create someone who He knew would wind up in Hell? Furthermore, why would he create Lucifer knowing that he would betray him and eventually become the Devil? God is often compared to having a relationship with us that is most comparable to humans with their children. He loves us and wants to forgive us. I, however, could not see having my child eternally tortured even if they said they hated me and didn't believe in me.

Please keep in mind that I am a Christian seeking Christian opinions. I suspect that it can't really be answered until we meet God in Heaven and for that reason I'll just turn it over to Him. God bless.

What do you think about this, and do you believe it to be true? If so, why, and how do you explain it to be true, and it's contridiction to the Bible.

In the book of Genesis it says that God made modern animals AFTER THEIR KIND. Could this mean that God used the blueprints (DNA structure) of prehistoric animals in creating similar modern animals? Interestingly enough, this does not rule out evolution before this point.

What does made AFTER THEIR KIND mean to you? How can things be made after their kind unless similar things existed before?

Even tho you say you have no belief you do. You believe there is no God. (Thats a belief in itself)Belief meaning: To believe in something to be true. To trust in ones self. to trust in ones own judgment. Your belief is all things exist without law, design,or cause-by chance. If believing in oneself is not a belief, then you have no belief in yourselves. So you must believe in what you believe to be true. so therefor, you do have a belief. But i don't care ,and i don't care what you people think of this or that religion. because you all believe, in what you are going to believe in. your all going to debate and keep debating. and no one is going to prove this or that.
As for you christians, what would happen to your belief, if it was found that : Jesus christ wasn't real? Suppose jesus himself, wasn't a real person. Or that in reality he was Lucifer?.
Understand me, i am not saying anything against your beliefs. I am simply asking a question. Do not take it the wrong way.

Is there really a god? or is it just a myth? all or if not most religions i know teach really the same thing in general ... good morals. like saying "be good, and good things come to you". it kind of reminds me of santa claus which is for kids. Is "god" really just a way to make people get along with each other?

You say your God knows all, so before creating Adam and Eve he knew they would sin, and in turn on Judgement Day Billions of people would be sent to hell and would get tortured for the rest of eternity.(many peaceful people are not Christians eg. 1 Billion Hindus, 600 million + Buddhists etc.)
So is your God such a entity who knows that at some point Of time would create a creation Whose many(billions) of Sons he knows in advance will suffer eternal pain.
Would he create a creation for whom he knows
one day his own son jesus will suffer very much.

No human father would create a robot if he knew in advance that the Robot would torture his son.
Why Not Create A Creation Which Was As Perfect As Him (GOD)

Atleast I know that no kind human being if granted the ability to create would create a creation whom he knows he would have to torture in the future.
Kind Parents punish their children again and again when they make mistakes and do not allow them Free will to commit sin for his entire Life and in the end throw them into a pit of fire.
